North and Northwest Showjumping Club hosted an Equestrian Australia and Equestrian NSW Experience Day, alongside a training day for members and a closed club competition, at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May.

Thank you to Chris & Terese Miller from Chris Miller Photography for attending over the weekend and providing these gorgeous photos. Full galleries are available for viewing - https://geosnapshot.com/e/nnwsjc-members-training-competition-weekend/53622

A number of local riders from other disciplines enjoyed the opportunity to try show jumping. Many expressed how keen they were to return, so NNWSJC is planning a Pole Corner at the next training day on Saturday, 20th June.

North North West Show Jumping Club loves running these training opportunities on such an amazing, world-class surface, at AELEC. Catering to the grassroots level right through to elite riders representing Australia, everyone is welcome.

Firstly, a massive thank you to all the volunteers with North and Northwest Showjumping Club, who help run these amazing opportunities. Many of our volunteers spend countless hours behind the scenes, organising things such as sponsorship, entries, draws and catering. Then they show up on Friday afternoon to set up jumps, get out the BBQ and fill the drinks fridge. All weekend they marshall, change courses, pick up poles, cook the BBQ and finally pack everything away - and they do it with a smile!

Special mention to those non-riding volunteers, who come to support family or just because they love helping - Lachlan Gill, Peter Moffitt, Allan McCusker, Jodie Toft, Mark Pettiford, Molly Moroney and all the parents, partners and friends who lend a hand! You are all amazing 🤩

Photos from Chris Miller Photography will be available soon.

Our next weekend of Show Jumping fun is happening 20 & 21 June! Keep an eye on our page for more information.

Thank you Equestrian Australia and Equestrian NSW for supporting the North and Northwest Showjumping Club Equestrian Experience Day at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre.

Coaches Alexandra Gostelow and Grainne Attwell gave a number of new riders, from 8 to 60 years of age, a small taste of show jumping, while members enjoyed riding training rounds over a course designed by Allan McCusker.

During the lunch break, information was provided about the benefits of Equestrian NSW membership.

Dr Nerida McGilchrist gave an excellent talk about equine nutrition during a drought. To find out more visit www.MyHappy.Horse
