South Bowlo is located on Margaret Street in South Tamworth and is a family-friendly Club with modern, and comfortable facilities. Get into Southside Kitchen and enjoy a range of options from starters, light meals to awesome mains! South Bowlo is the place to be with a vibrant calendar of regular activities and events all year round. Our purpose-built function room is the perfect location for your special event including birthday parties, weddings, engagement parties, celebrations, presentations and meetings. We have a range of catering options and packages available – talk to our functions team for more information. Come down to South Bowlo for a meal, to use our TAB and Keno facilities, or for a bowl. We have bowling greens for a serious or social bowler. Bring some friends and make it a fun night to remember.

All SOUTH TAMWORTH PAIRS FINAL

A terrific result for South Tamworth at the NSW Over 40s Pairs North West Region Qualifiers at Tamworth City, with Gav Propsting and Luke Sheather meeting Julie Scott and Rod Smith in the final!

Gav and Luke went undefeated through their section, beating Peter Mead and Glenn Williams 16–12, edging Ben Felsman and Andrew Nichols 14–13, and defeating Linda O’Reilly and Sherilee Stewart 22–16. A bye in the opening finals round took them straight into the decider.

Julie and Rod opened with a strong 23–7 win over Inverell RSM’s Tony Halloran and Rodney Dengate. After a bye and an 11–20 loss to Glen Innes pair Trevor Bellette and Matthew Jarrett, they to finish at the top of their section on shot difference. They then defeated Inverell RSM’s Simon Luxford and Darren Hungerford 19–16 to book their final berth.

Julie and Rod claimed the honours with a 17–14 victory over Gav and Luke!

What a way to mark their first time representing South Tamworth following the amalgamation of West Tamworth and South Tamworth. Welcome aboard, Julie and Rod—we’re proud of your achievement!

NSW Over 40s Pairs - North West Region Qualifier
South Tamworth enjoyed a terrific result in the NSW Over 40s Pairs North West Region Qualifier, with Gav Propsting and Luke Sheather, together with Julie Scott and Rod Smith, progressing through sectional play and the finals series to meet in an all-South Tamworth regional final.

The result was especially pleasing for Julie and Rod, who were making their first appearance representing South Tamworth following the amalgamation with West Tamworth.

What a way to start - a very warm welcome to the club, and we are particularly proud of their outstanding result.

Congratulations to all four players on a fantastic weekend of bowls.
