🏑 NIAS ALUMNI SUCCESS 🏑

Congratulations to Alice Arnott, NIAS Athlete of the Year 2014, on her selection in the Hockeyroos squad for the upcoming FIH Pro League series in Europe!

Alice will be part of a 22-player Australian squad competing in London (17–21 June) and Wavre, Belgium (23–27 June), as the Hockeyroos continue their preparations for the 2026 FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup.

From her beginnings with NIAS to wearing the green and gold, Alice’s journey is a fantastic example of dedication, perseverance, and high performance.

📣NIAS ITID DAY📣

We’re excited to welcome nearly 100 athletes to our NIAS Indigenous Talent Identification (ITID) Day in Tamworth tomorrow. Bringing together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from across the Northern Inland, the day is all about discovering potential, building confidence, and creating pathways into sport.

Participants will take part in multi-sport activities, skill drills, modified games and fitness testing, with selected athletes progressing into future NIAS opportunities. We can’t wait to see these young athletes in action at Tamworth Sports Dome.

Registrations close Friday 5 June for the 2026 Northern Inland Academy of Sport Indigenous Talent ID Talent Day on Thursday 11 June!

This FREE opportunity allows young athletes to showcase their skills, connect with expert coaches, and be considered for a fully funded scholarship with NIAS.

Over the weekend, the annual North vs South Golf Cup was held at Leura Golf Course in the Blue Mountains, bringing together some of the best young golfers from across NSW.
NIAS was proudly represented by Isaac Riches and Lucas Grosser, who both played an important role in helping Team North secure the win for the weekend! 👏

The volunteers at Northern Inland Academy of Sport know that better than anyone. They drive the long roads, give up their weekends, and show up with expertise and energy so our athletes don't have to look elsewhere for world-class support.
