The Bondi tragedy was an act of terrorism, not a failure of lawful firearm ownership. The footage shows this clearly that the same firearm was used by a terrorist to cause harm, and by a brave civilian who chose restraint and acted to reduce the threat without harm. The difference was the person, not the tool.

Pushing further firearm law changes distracts from the real issues: extremism, radicalisation, and failures in intervention. These changes will hurt law-abiding Australians involved in sport, agriculture, pest control, and regional livelihoods without improving public safety.

If you're an Aussie, regardless of the state you reside in and care about evidence-based policy and protecting responsible firearm owners, now is the time to speak up.

The NSW Government are working with the Animal Justice Party and other animal rights groups to completely rewrite animal welfare laws in NSW.

Minister for Agriculture Adam Marshall (the National Party) is behind this complete betrayal of farmers, fishers and hunters.

The proposed changes are broad and have far-reaching implications for fishers, hunters, farmers and animal breeders. The changes are purposefully vague which will allow incredibly broad interpretations by organisations with police powers such as the RSPCA to invent reasons to charge law-abiding citizens for unquantifiable crimes like “causing unnecessary harm”.

SFF MP for Barwon, Roy Butler MP has sponsored a NSW Parliament ePetition to stop these changes. 20,000 signatures are needed to ensure that this gets debated in parliament before any bill can be put to parliament.

Act now to send a message to the Liberal/National government that adopting an animal rights agenda is not acceptable by signing the ePetition.
