The Pub Angling Club's Annual General Meeting is fast approaching!

For anyone interested in joining the club for 2025, please contact the page to arrange a membership form and mark your calendars for Sunday, March 2nd, directly after our monthly meeting (which kicks off at 10:30 am) at The Pub.

This meeting is our opportunity to:
Shape the Future of Our Club: We'll be reviewing the past year, discussing the Treasurer's Report, and voting on proposed updates to our Constitution and Bylaws.
Elect Our New Leadership: Nominate a fellow member for a position on the Office Bearers and Committee.
Celebrate Our Successes: We'll be recognising our Award Recipients!
Connect with Fellow Anglers: Enjoy lunch after the meeting!

Important Dates & Information:
RSVP for Lunch: The general public will not have access to our private page or event to RSVP. If you wish to attend please contact the page by Sunday, February 23rd, so we can get a headcount for catering.
Access Key Documents: The Minutes of the 2024 AGM, the Treasurer's Report, and the proposed Constitution and Bylaw updates by contacting the page.
Voting: Voting will be by Secret Ballot. Only financial members are eligible to vote.

Just a reminder that our final donation for 2024 from our Friday night meat raffles is on this week! We’re excited to have pledged a portion of the proceeds for the Toy Run happening this Saturday! 🎁✨

Your support during these raffles not only gives you a chance to win one of the 20 amazing meat trays from Westdale Meats 🍖 but also helps us spread some holiday cheer to those in need. It’s a win-win!

Let's not forget, Saturday's Toy Run is set to be a blast! 🎉 The Pub will have live music, more meat raffles, Santa 🎅 and the Grinch 🎄 coming out for the kids!

Grab your friends and family and join in this weekend for lots of fun and giving back! We’re hoping to see lots of faces there, enjoying the festivities and making a positive impact! ❤️

We are thrilled to reveal that our charity of the month for September is HeartKids ♥️

Heart Kids is an amazing organisation dedicated to supporting children with heart conditions and their families.

We are passionate about raising funds for them because every child deserves the chance to live a healthy and fulfilling life.

🗓️ Join us at The Pub on Friday, September 20th for a wonderful evening!

🍽️ Enjoy a delicious meal from the bistro and take part in our meat raffle and 100 club, as we donate a portion of the proceeds to this incredible cause.

🎟️ Tickets go on sale at 6pm, with the draw taking place at 7:30pm.

Your support can make a REAL difference in the lives of these children and their families!

A heartfelt thankyou to Bryan Singh from Friends of Nioka Inc. for attending our monthly meeting yesterday.

The Pub Angling Club had the incredible Friends of Nioka Inc. as our charity of the month for July and are proud to be making a donation of $425.45.

A massive thank you to the staff and patrons of The Pub for their support of our Friday night Meat Raffles that make these fundraising efforts possible.

'Nioka' is the dedicated palliative care ward located at the Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, that has served the Tamworth region for over 40 years.

“Friends of Nioka” supports this vital service through;
• Recruiting volunteers to strengthen the provision and access to services
• Assisting Nioka staff to provide that little bit of extra attention to palliative patients and their families (providing company, emotional support, entertainment and help with errands).
• Engaging the community and local media outlets to start essential conversations about palliative care to give feedback to Hunter New England Health.
• Lobbying with state and federal governments for improvements in palliative services where they believe there are shortfalls.
• Raising money to help fund hospital equipment and home-care equipment for patients at home (they also provide newspapers, coffee, water, soft furnishings and other little luxuries to patients and their families)

Unfortunately, palliative care is something that will likely impact all of our lives at some point and that's why we're passionate about raising funds for this amazing service.
