CRICKET NEWS
It is with sadness and Disappointment. that I advise everyone that I will be no longer managing the cricket for Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre after the end of this competition.
Management has decided in the best interests of the business that they will be moving in a different direction with a new Cricket Manager.
I have enjoyed the last 11 months and met so many new and great people and have friendships that I hope will continue.
The amount of work put in behind the scenes to grow the competition to double the original team numbers when I started, and the amazing season we had fielding 3 Superleague sides, with our Men's 1 being Runners Up, is what I am most proud of in my time doing this role.
I would like to thank all the players and their families for being a part of all this.
A massive thanks to my umpires who have worked with me since January, Greg, Warren, Frosty, Jake, Brody and Mitch. Hope I did not forget anyone.
A massive shout out and thanks to The Southgate Inn for sponsoring both our local comp and Superleague. Squiz your support has been fantastic, and we would not be where we are without your sponsorship so thank you.
Finally a huge thanks to the 3 main guys who assisted with so much behind the scenes. Greg, Rocket and Jimbob have been there since Day 1 and nothing has been too much trouble for them to assist me in whatever is needed to be done to see this sport and our centre a success. Thanks boys.
