Congratulations to Guyra on an outstanding performance in the Grade 5 Region Open Pennant Playoffs held at South Tamworth over the weekend.
Guyra opened the playoffs with a strong win over Walgett before facing local side West Tamworth in a thrilling deciding match on this morning. In a close contest, Guyra held on for a 57–54 victory to secure the regional title and earn their place in the State Finals.
West Tamworth also performed strongly throughout the weekend, defeating Walgett 71–63 on Saturday afternoon and pushing Guyra all the way in a fantastic final match.
Congratulations to all players, officials and supporters involved, and best of luck to Guyra as they now head to the State Finals at Fig Tree Sports Bowling Club from the 21st to the 23rd of August.

Well we went down fighting today. 3 shots down on the big board. A wonderful effort to make it all the way to the Regional final. We all played together as team and we should be really proud of our efforts. Thanks to all our supporters who came to cheer us on over the last couple of days.

Congratulations to our Open gender grade 5 pennants team on a great win against Walgett this afternoon. 9-1
We play Guyra at 9am at South Tamworth Bowling Club tomorrow so come down and cheer them on for a spot in the State Championships in August.
