🏀 Under 14 Girls Division 1 – Home Round

What a fantastic weekend of basketball for our Under 14 Girls Division 1 team at our home round last weekend.

The girls finished the day with 3 wins from 4 games, putting together some outstanding team basketball. Their effort, determination, defensive pressure, and willingness to work together were on display all weekend, with every player contributing to the team’s success.

Their strong performances have earned them 3rd place on the ladder, securing their spot in the finals. It’s been a season of hard work and improvement, and the team has thoroughly earned the opportunity to compete for a championship.

Next stop: Port Macquarie for the finals! 🏆

Congratulations to all the players and coaches on a great home round. We wish the team the very best of luck as they head to Port Macquarie to finish what they’ve worked so hard for. Go girls! 💙🏀

Round 4 was a cracker for the Under 16 Div 1 Girls. It was a big weekend with 4 games to play. The girls came away with 3 wins and a spot in the finals in Port next month. They put everything on the line and played 4 fantastic games. What a team! Great effort, girls—we couldn’t be more proud of you all!

A huge thank you to our amazing coach Jono, we literally wouldn’t be here without you!!

And another huge thanks to our parents for benching & all of your support, always!

The U18W showed great teamwork and determination across their four games, finishing with two wins. Strong defensive effort and excellent ball movement were key strengths, with players working together to create scoring opportunities and pressure their opponents. Well done girls. We are all so proud of you.

🏀⚡ U12B1 Thunderbolts Round 4 Wrap-Up

A big weekend of representative basketball for our U12B1 Thunderbolts! The team finished with an impressive 2 wins from 4 games, highlighted by strong victories over Maitland Mustangs (57-40) and Central Coast Waves (63-37). The boys showed plenty of determination, teamwork, and resilience across all four matches against quality opposition. These victories took us to 10 for the season!

A huge thank you to our coaches, families, and supporters for your encouragement throughout the weekend. Keep working hard, Thunderbolts, we’re proud of your efforts both on and off the court!

🏀 Round 4 NEJL Tamworth 🏀

The U16 Div 1 Boys had a hard fought weekend of basketball coming away with 3 wins and 1 loss.

Our first game for the weekend saw the boys take on the Valley Braves coming away with the win 78 - 54.

Second game for the weekend was against the Port dolphins. It was incredibly hard fought game. The boys played extremely well as a team in a fiercely contested & close game taking the win 96 - 90. Up until now Port have been undefeated all season.

Third game V Tweed Volcanoes we knew it was going to be another tough game. Coming from behind in the fourth quarter the boys fought back to make it a one point game with 16 seconds to go but unfortunately tweed’s defence was too good with the boys going down 64 - 63.

Last game for the weekend was also close but the boys held it together and came away with another impressive win against Lismore Storm 104 - 91.

This meaning finishing 3rd on the ladder and heading to Finals in Port Macquarie in a few weeks time.

A big thank you to all the parents for helping on the bench, court supervising and most of all cheering our boys on.
Also a massive thanks to coach Taylor for guiding our boys and everything she does for them !

Thunderbolt Men’s played Hills Hornets last night and came away with a 97-66 win.
Great defence and good rebounding along with good ball movement proved too much for the Hornets.
3rd quarter was the blowout with the Bolts outscoring them 34-9.

Great win . Undefeated 11-0
