It’s officially the last weekend of the 2023-24 Swim Season!!

The Talbot pool will close its gates after Monday so get on down, chuck on those togs and cool off one last time at our beautiful pool!!

☀️2023-24 POOL SEASON!!☀️

Pull on your togs, slip on your goggles and slap on some sunscreen!! The 2023-24 pool season is here.

Our Talbot Outdoor Pool is due to open for the season Saturday December 2nd!!

Following on from our successful season last year, all entries will be FREE!! again.

As always the kiosk will also be back stocked to the brim. A small reminder we are a CASH ONLY venue.

Our hours will be resume as per other years:
•3-7pm weekdays (during school periods)
•1-7pm weekends & weekdays (during the summer holiday period)

The weather MUST be 25deg or above for the pool to open to the public.

As always the health and safety of all patrons and staff is our number one priority. The committee and lifeguard team will be performing regular routine cleaning and chemicals checks to meet health regulations. We ask patrons to stay home if they are feeling unwell and test if required.

Bring your towels and a tummy full of laughter on Saturday Dec 2nd and let’s start the season on high note together! See you then! 💦

The suns getting hotter… which means pool season is almost here!! ☀️

Currently our pool is undergoing some well deserved maintenance with a new paint job and the addition of some new stability rails.

We will have confirmation of opening dates to share with you all very soon! ⛱️

☀️2022-23 POOL SEASON!!☀️

It’s official our 2022-23 pool season is set to start this Saturday 3rd Dec.

As an extra special announcement, this pool season all entries will be FREE!!
That’s right FREE entry for all patrons: local/wider community members and visitors!!

Our kiosk will also be back full of snacks, lollies and delicious ice creams. A small reminder we are a CASH ONLY venue.

1-7pm weekends & weekdays (during the summer holiday period)

💥Great news for our beloved pool!!!💥

Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Funding - round three

At the June Council Meeting, Council endorsed the projects to be delivered as part of the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Funding for round three, with some projects partially funded through previous stages.

Council was allocated $1.579 million which will see $1,139,092 invested in our swimming pools and $440,000 for community infrastructure projects.

Projects include:
💦 Dunolly Swimming Pool
💦 Talbot Outdoor Swimming Pool
⚙️🔧 Community infrastructure projects for Worsley Cottage, Betley Hall, Talbot Town Hall, Dunolly Wayfinding Signage and Dunach School

SEASON PASSES!

It’s not too late! Get in to the Talbot Pool’s kiosk and purchase yourself a season ticket this pool year.

Our season passes not only give you full access to our local Talbot Pool but also all the other pools in a our branch: Maryborough & Dunolly, for season 2021/2022.

Season passes are priced as follows: $65 Adult, $55 Child, $125 Family (immediate family only).

We would like to remind everyone:

The Talbot Pool will be open all weekend from 1-7pm over the New Years Celebrations.

Please note that NO ALCOHOL, SMOKING or DRUGS are to be held or consumed on the property. Also no patron will be allowed in under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

We are looking forward to a few extremely hot days and we encourage all local and wider communities to take advantage of our magnificent pool. We can’t wait to see you.

💦SEASON 2021/22💦

Hello everyone, welcome back for season 2021/22! What a crazy year it has been yet again! I hope everyone has managed to stay safe and sane during this unknown time in our lives. We will have COVID safe rules in place amongst our normal pool rules in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.

The COVID safe rules are as follows:
• all patrons must sign in with the available QR code or via a sign in log at the kiosk
• a 1.5metre distance is to ideally be maintained in and out of the water
• all patrons MUST stay home if they are experiencing any flu like symptoms or feeling unwell.

•The pool will be open from SUNDAY 5th DECEMBER
• The weather MUST be 25deg or above for the pool to open to the public
• Opening and closing times remain as per usual: 3-7pm weekdays during schooling period, 1-7pm weekends & weekdays during summer holidays
• Regular Prices: $4 adult, $3 children, $14 family
• Season Pass Prices: $65 adult, $55 children, $125 family
• Season Passes are available at the kiosk for purchase
• CASH only venue

Our three outdoor pools at Maryborough, Talbot and Dunolly
will open – sunny weather permitting – on Saturday 4 December.

Previously we have communicated that the Maryborough Outdoor Pool would be closed for the summer period.

Due to a project delay, the redevelopment is now scheduled to commence February 2022.

Our Youth team are busy planning a series of events and activities for the opening weekend across all three pools – watch this space for updates.

💥COMMUNITY NEWS💥

🎾TALBOT TENNIS REVIVAL: BREAKING THE COVID BARRIER🎾

Are you a young aspiring tennis player, wanting to have fun learning the amazing sport of tennis? Or are you a blossoming tennis player, wanting to develop and enhance your current tennis skills?

Talbot Tennis Club is excited to announce the “Talbot Tennis Revival: Breaking the COVID barrier” project for 2021/22.

This project aims to encourage young people, up to the age of 15yrs old, to not only learn and develop their sporting skills but also to participate in local community sport whilst embracing the ever-present restrictions of COVID 19. The Talbot Tennis club were grateful to have been awarded a grant by Sports and Recreation Victoria to assist with this exciting project for our local club.

The Revival Project includes 3 sessions per child under the experienced eye of well-known local tennis coach Brian Carr. Each participant will receive a brand-new tennis racquet, accompanying drink bottle along with many hours of fun and learning with a group of like-minded individuals.

**Sessions will be held in the FIRST week of school holidays: Monday 20th, Tuesday 21st, Wednesday 22nd.

**There will be two session times per day: 3pm-4pm & 4pm-5pm.

**Due to COVID restrictions we have had to half our offered sessions in order to reduce group numbers but still get the amazing benefit of coaching for each child. We are sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience. It is unfortunately out of our hands.

**Parents who have already registered their child’s interest will be contacted separately.
