Drift Collective - Saturday Layout Reveal

This one is not for the faint hearted!! Think 150km/h entries, scraping the wall down the straight just metres from where the crowds are watching, before drivers throw it into the concrete-walled bowl. It’s fast, technical, and definitely requires no fear.

Will Argoon, South Australia👋
Car: Ford Falcon wagon “Walter”

Will describes drifting as “controlling the out of control” - which honestly tracks when you watch him send a full‑size Aussie wagon in ways it was never meant to move. His driving style is exactly what you’d expect from that description: rowdy, aggressive and loud… and so much fun to watch.

Off track, he’s usually in Crocs, sipping a good red wine and making everyone around him laugh. One of his proudest moments so far is cracking the top 10 at Drift Collective in his first year... and he reckons drifting is always better watched live because you don’t miss a second of the chaos… plus he might even throw you a sticker.

We’ve been a little quiet as preparations ramp up for Drift Collective in SA next month.

The Drifting SA 180SX is heading out for testing this weekend (now sporting a new vented bonnet to help handle those harsh Aussie conditions 🤭). A few more upgrades are on the way too…

The big question is - who is getting behind the wheel of it at our event? 🤔

Drift Collective EOIs for Saturday 7 March 2026 are now OPEN!

The event will once again run a 265 radial tyre class in a fast-paced, single-day format featuring an exciting layout, speed gates and battle qualifying, keeping the focus on technical driving, close battles and driver skill.

If you’re keen to compete, we’re looking for Australia’s best - think national-level or SA L1 experience - while also welcoming other experienced drivers to come put on a show during practice and Expression Sessions.

Expressions of Interest for the SA Round open Sunday 11 January, 6pm ACDT.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring you another exciting event with some of the best drift battles in the country. The Bend always brings big speed and big commitment, and 2026 will be no different - a proper showcase of Australia’s best drivers going head‑to‑head.
