🟦 2025 SA Kart Championship Wrap Up 🟦

The meeting has now officially been run and won at Southern Go Kart Club and Harrison managed to find himself finishing 2nd overall in his class. The weekend threw all sorts of challenges Harrison’s way that he’s never had to face before but he was able to overcome those challenges very well!

Harrison had good pace on the Friday in practice with being inside the top 6 in all the sessions so this gave him good confidence going into qualifying first thing Saturday morning.

Going into qualifying Harrison decided to sit behind some other fast drivers for the session to get a tow from them to give him some extra speed and at the end of qualifying he found himself in P1 by 0.060

We then had 4 races that followed (3 Heats + Final)
Results are as follows

Qualifying / P1 🥇

Heat 1 / P1-P6 (Harrison made a small mistake on a greasy/slick track and fell down to about 11th or 10th and managed to drive back to 6th)

Heat 2 / P1-P1🥇(some heavy showers meant the track was now completely wet so Harrison chucked together a set up he thought would suit the conditions and managed to win the heat and lead every lap)

Heat 3 / P2-P2🥈 (not much to report on for this race)

Final / P2-P2

Harrison was stoked with the result and couldn’t have been more proud. Harrison has raced dirt for the past 10 years and when he decided he wanted to make the swap to the bitumen he knew it wasn’t going to be easy. However after being told by some people he’d be wasting his time because dirt karters can’t race bitumen, he’s gone out and proven that statement completely false! A P2 finish combined with claiming pole position on a dry track in less than 12 months of racing is something Harrison is truly proud about.

Now we focus on what’s in store for next year! Harrison has decided he’s ready to make the next step on the bitumen and move up from the restricted 125 class into TAG 125 Light (also known as Open). We’ve got alot of big meetings and plans instore for next year so we are incredibly excited to see where it takes us!

Day 2 of the SA Kart Championship is complete.

Qualifying - P1

Heat 1, P1 - P6 (made an error on track and fell back to 10th. Managed to climb back to 6th)

Heat 2, P1 - P1 (Harrison made some setup changes that he felt would work really well with the heavy rain we had today and it definitely worked with leading every lap and taking the win)

We believe these results will set Harrison up good for the final races tomorrow so fingers crossed we can continue having some strong momentum 🤞🏻

P1 IN QUALIFYING

Harrison absolutely smashed qualifying putting himself on pole position for the next 2 heats today. The rain has started to fall so things are going to get interesting 🔥 🌧️

Day 1 of the 2025 SA Kart Championship

Harrison had a solid day of practice today. After the 4 practice sessions he’s found himself 3rd fastest going into qualifying tomorrow.

The schedule for tomorrow is qualifying + 2 heats so hopefully we can have some luck on our side 🤞🏻

Harrison has had some really strong results so far this year and he’s hoping to end it out with a huge result. Harrison has achieved numerous podium finishes, as well as fastest laps and race wins. *Notable achievement was Qualifying 6th/36 karts against the strongest drivers in the country at the City of Melbourne titles this year to then be the first SA driver across the line at the end of the weekend*

We’re off and racing at the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park!

Harrison is racing in TAG Light for today and has already showed mega pace after winning heat 1 by nearly 25 seconds. He has a really small field today which is a little disappointing but it is what it is!

Looking to have some fun today so we’ll get after it 👊🏻

We’re out at the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park this weekend! Harrison is racing in the TAG 125 Light class. If anyone is out watching the supercars this weekend be sure to come over to the go kart track and say hello!

Practise Friday then 4 heats on Saturday, let’s see what we can do! 👊🏻
