Gwawley Bay Football Club Gwawley Bay Football Club is a volunteer organisation for junior and senior players

Gwawley Bay Football Club is a volunteer organisation located not far from Southgate Shopping Centre, Sylvania. The club focuses on player development through the use of professional coaching and organised grading and training to ensure all players play in the most appropriate grade for their age and skill. GBFC also run a very successful and highly regarded summer soccer competition in the off-season. GBFC relies heavily on volunteers to carry out various tasks during and in-between the seasons. As part of a team you will be required to help your coach and manager on occasions during your daughter/son’s game of football. This may be setting up and packing up of team equipment, at game time, ground duty in the morning or afternoon, or canteen and BBQ duty. BBQ and canteen duty is not onerous and is usually only required once per season. Any small contribution you can make over the rostered duty would be greatly appreciated - if you feel you have something to offer please email a committee member via committee11 @ gwawleybay.com. Note that all Coaches and Managers involved with any Junior team must fill out and return the Prohibited Employment Declaration to the GBFC Committee before starting.

Join us for a night dedicated to recognising the players, coaches, managers and volunteers who have made this season one to remember.

Gwawley Bay are the 2026 AM03s Premiers!

Scoring in the first half and then holding out an undefeated Lilli Pilli side is no easy feat! But the lads dug deep, held their nerve and got the job done!

Watching this team go from strength to strength, year after year, has been a privilege. What a journey it's been and what an achievement!

⚽️💜 WE GO AGAIN 💜⚽️

With the U12C and U21D-1 young guns showing us how it’s done in the semis, the Men’s All Age 3s had big shoes to fill on a chilly, drizzly Sunday afternoon for their semi-final match-up against a strong Marton side.

With plenty of purple in the crowd, including our U6s, U9s, U10s, U12s, U21s, O35s, All Age teams, old teammates, friends and family, the boys had plenty of support behind them.

The formidable Hammers pushed us all the way to the final whistle of extra time, with the match finishing 1-1. That win at home in the final round of the regular season proved the difference, sending the lads through to next week's Final!

This team has been through it all! Climbing their way from AL8s only a few years ago, collecting Premiership after Premiership, and now with another opportunity to play for a Grand Final spot.

We go again next week, lads.

💜🏆 STRAIGHT TO THE GRAND FINAL! 🏆💜

What a game from our U21D-1s! Straight through to the Grand Final after a gripping 2–1 win over the undefeated Minor Premiers! 🔥

Georges River came into the finals with an impressive defensive record, and our lads knew they’d have to dig deep for this one.

The Tigers struck first, but Toe Punt Pro Liam came through with our first goal to level the score! ⚽️

Then, late in the second half, Postman Raf delivered when it mattered most, finding the back of the net and securing the win to send our U21D-1s straight through to the BIG DANCE! 💜🏆

An incredible effort from the whole team all season, and now all that hard work is paying off.
