That was a replay right??? 🤷‍♀️
It seems this is the most mis-interpreted rule in netball and you might be surprised to find out you CAN bounce the ball 😱

🌟 Umpire of the Week – Charlotte 🌟

This week’s Umpire of the Week recognition goes to Charlotte for representing Joeys Netball Club in such a positive and professional manner, both as an umpire and mentor.

We greatly appreciate the time and effort Charlotte puts in each week supporting and mentoring our developing umpires, while also continuing to work hard on building her own confidence and strengthening her umpiring skills.

Charlotte now confidently umpires across both our Junior and Senior competitions and continues to show fantastic improvement week after week. Her commitment to learning, willingness to challenge herself, and dedication to her development are a credit to her.

Well done, Char! We love your perseverance, positive attitude, and the progress you’re making. Keep up the amazing work – we’re proud of how far you’ve come and excited to see what you’ll achieve next! 👏💜💛

🌟 Umpire of the Week – Sophie A 🌟

Congratulations to Sophie A on being named our Joeys Netball Umpire of the Week!

We love how Sophie takes control of the game with a strong whistle, clear instructions, and a loud, confident voice. She makes decisive calls without hesitation and demonstrates excellent confidence on court.

What’s even more impressive is Sophie’s ability to maintain her focus and use the correct hand signals for the entire game while always presenting professionally in the correct umpire attire 💜💛

Your growth this season has been incredible to watch, and your hard work and dedication are shining through every week.

Congratulations to Abi & Jess on being named our Umpires of the Week! We are so lucky to have both of you representing Joeys Netball Club with such dedication and positivity. 🏐

Jess, as one of our junior umpires, has shown an incredible amount of growth this season. Your confidence continues to build each week as you work towards progressing into higher grades. We love seeing the way you take on feedback during games and put it into practice week-to-week. Your hard work on positioning and hand signals is really showing — nice work Jess! 👏

Abi, one of our senior umpires working towards badging, has also stepped up as a wonderful mentor to our junior umpires. Thank you for always supporting and encouraging while continuing to work hard on your own development. Your consistent calls and strong control of the game make you such a valuable umpire and role model. 👏
