We offer a range of Pilates classes including Pilates Reformer, Pilates Tower and Pilates mat classes, barre classes, yin yoga and vinyasa classes. Love Pilates also offers specialised prenatal Pilates and postnatal Pilates, yoga and barre classes for our pregnant mums and new mums. We run

prenatal and postnatal Pilates classes 7 days a week with daytime classes during the week (mums & bubs Pilates) that you can bring your baby to. We also have a set of Baby Bjorn bouncers in the studio that you can use when you bring your baby along to one of our mums & bubs classes. Situated in Willoughby, in the heart of Sydney’s lower north shore, Love Pilates (formerly Yoganic) is easily accessible from Northbridge, North Sydney, Crows Nest, Cammeray, Castle Cove, Castlecrag, Naremburn, Chatswood, Roseville and Lindfield. With small class sizes, highly trained teachers and a flexible timetable, there’s a class for whatever stage of life you’re in.

Strength training is a beautiful kind of stress. You load the body, fire up the sympathetic nervous system (your "go" gear), spike cortisol and adrenaline, and ask your muscles to do hard things.

But here's what most people miss: the adaptation, the recovery, the actual getting stronger part… all of that happens when you flip the switch back to "rest and digest."

That's where breathwork comes in - and why we do it at the end of every Love Strong class. A few minutes of slow, extended exhales after you train does something quietly powerful. The long exhale stimulates your vagus nerve, which down-regulates your nervous system out of stress mode and into recovery mode. Heart rate drops. Cortisol drops. Blood pressure softens. Your body finally gets the signal: we're safe, we can repair now.
Without that down-shift, you can leave the studio still wired — and wonder why your sleep is patchy, your shoulders are up by your ears, and the next session feels harder than it should.
Try this after your next strength session:
↳ Find a comfortable seat or lie down
↳ Inhale through the nose for 4
↳ Exhale through the nose for 8
↳ Repeat for 3–5 minutes

That's it. No app, no equipment. Just the most underrated recovery tool you already own.

My pilates practice was far from glamorous these holidays...... no 40 Euro studios full of influencers - it was back to basics!

One of the great things about a Pilates mat practice is that you can do it anywhere - and you don't need props (although I usually pack a few!). I was lucky enough to use Helene's reformer when we visited her family in Marseille - but most of my practice was on the mat - where ever I could find available space!

So just a reminder that Pilates doesn't always involve matching lulu sets, a reformer or fancy props.
