I just dropped a new 3-4min chat onto my Youtube

In this video, I share some thoughts and science around spinal movement and why these are essential parts of a well-rounded movement practice, especially in strength training.

Coming from my own lived experience of chronic pain, spinal injury and spinal fusion surgery, this is not just theory - it is about making space for curiosity, adaptability and nervous system trust, in bodies that carry complex stories.

I chat about:
What the spine is designed to do, biomechanically
How most strength training programs miss key ranges
Why life and sport often happen outside of “neutral”
The role of spinal motion in sensory feedback, force transfer and coordination

How training the spine to move doesn’t make you fragile, it actually makes you more adaptable

Hello friends, and thank you for being here!

A little accidental update… the other week I set up a business page so I could create some automations for my new mobility programme I was promoting on Instagram - and somehow I’ve managed to give myself another page to run 🤣 So here we are!

If you already follow me on Instagram , you’ll probably see some familiar posts cross-shared here. But I’ll also be using this space to share links to any new longer-format videos I upload to YouTube - videos where I talk through movement, health, injury, identity, and everything in between in my usual stream-of-consciousness style.

For anyone new to my work or content: I have been a movement and strength coach for over 11 years. My work sits at the intersection of strength coaching, pain science, and lived experience - shaped by my own journey through high performance sport, and managing chronic illness, symptomatic hypermobility, and injury.

I have spent the better part of the last decade becoming the person I needed during those years: learning from clinicians, diving into nutrition science, pregnancy and postpartum training, pain science, and more.

I have been running my online coaching business for almost 5 years now, and it’s one of the great joys of my life. In this work, I find so much purpose and it is a privilege to walk alongside those I get to work with in their journey with movement. Thank you for joining me here, truly.
