What if you could step back in time and see how fencing was practised centuries ago? ⚔️

🤺 At the 2026 Senior World Championships in Hong Kong, Historical Fencing brought the past to life with live demonstrations of 16th and 17th Century European swordsmanship.

⚔️From Renaissance two-handed swords and bucklers to Baroque rapiers, practitioners showcased techniques drawn from historical fencing manuals, while even some of today’s top fencers got the chance to pick up replica swords and give them a try.

A bunch of the other Sydney HEMA Clubs are getting together to exchange ideas about swordplay. There's going to be a longsword stream and a single sword stream. I'm planning on going along and it would be great if y'all wanted to come with me. Cross bouting is always fun, and with the growing interest in longsword it would be good for the longsworders to get some ideas from other clubs.

Anyway, I'm going to try and be there, I hope you can come with me.
