Jhari Pachhi Ko Indreni Screens in Sydney, Reflecting Hope, Struggle, and Nepal’s Social Realities
Sydney: Sydney will host a community screening of the much-awaited and acclaimed Nepali film Jhari Pachhi Ko Indreni at Event Cinemas Burwood, NSW 2134, on 31 January 2026 at 6:00 pm. Organised by RARA FC and Karnali Sewa Samaj Australia, and presented by Oceania Education and Visa Services (OEVS), the screening supported by Karnali Sewa Samaj Australia and Roteping Entertainment comes in response to overwhelming audience demand and enthusiastic reviews. The film powerfully portrays contemporary social realities, sensitive family relationships, and a deep sense of love and responsibility toward the nation. With its emotionally charged narrative, strong performances, and compelling message, the movie has succeeded in winning the hearts of audiences. Like a rainbow that appears after the rain, this is a must-watch cinematic creation that carries a moving story of hope, struggle, and transformation.
Adding to its appeal, the film features a song by popular artist B***n, which has sparked widespread discussion and enthusiasm among younger audiences. The music plays a vital role in amplifying the film’s emotional depth and connecting it with the sentiments of today’s youth.
Directed by Arjun Ghimire ‘Pande’, the film marks the much-anticipated comeback of veteran actor Ganesh Upreti after a gap of nine years, raising expectations of drawing older generations back to the cinema halls. The cast also includes well-known actors Ramesh Upreti, Prakash Ghimire, Dipashree Niraula, and Priyana Acharya (Munni). Model Anjali Adhikari and choreographer Pradeep Lama appear in special roles in one of the film’s songs. Based on a story by director Ghimire himself, the film introduces Bimocan Dawadi and Jessica Pokharel in their debut roles; Jessica is the niece of actress-director Dipashree Niraula. Child actor Dipsan Chilwal also features in the film. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Ganesh Karki and Bishal Ghimire.
Produced under the banner of Nagaraj Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the film centers on Nepal’s political instability, its impact on ordinary citizens, and the aspirations and frustrations of the younger generation. At its core, it also tells the poignant story of an honest civil servant and a devoted father, presenting a heartfelt narrative that blends personal struggle with national conscience.
