From our very first week of opening in 2019 to her Southern Swim Graduation...Blair has been with us every single week!

And we think that explains this photo, and her big swag of medals!

This week, Blair added one very special piece to the collection- her Southern Swim Graduation Trophy!

We couldn’t be prouder of this incredible little champion. Blair has grown into such an amazing swimmer, and now she’s ready to take the next big step, heading into a bigger pool and chasing more swimming dreams!

Blair, it has been an absolute joy watching you learn, grow, splash, race and SMASH your goals over the years.

Meet our 4 happy little underwater mermaids- Evie, Lola, Paige & Kora!

These four have been swimming together at Southern since they were babies, and are still swimming together now in our Orcas level. At just 5 years old, they are swimming all four strokes, and powering up and down the pool doing lap after lap!

And they’re not just swimming for fun anymore… Paige & Kora even took on their first 25 metre and 50m races at Aquadot Swim Club last Friday night!

We absolutely love watching these four grow, learn and have so much fun in the water together.

A true Southern swimmer 🖤🤍

Poppy has just turned 3 and is already such a little legend in the water!

Calm, confident and completely relaxed, Poppy moves through the water with beautiful breath control and true independence. Most importantly, she’s happy, having fun and loving every moment.

And that’s exactly what we aim for at Southern: young, independent and happy swimmers who feel confident in the water and can enjoy the lifelong gift of swimming. 💦

Southern Swim Skills & Smiles Week
Join us from Monday 29 June to Sunday 5 July for a special week of learning, games, challenges, and celebrations as we wrap up the first half of the year together!
While the fun will be turned up a notch, skill development will remain our focus. Our swimmers can look forward to plenty of exciting activities, smiles, and achievements as we continue building confidence and progress in the water.
Following Skills & Smiles Week, Southern will be closed for our mid year break from Monday 6 July to Sunday 19 July. This short closure gives our amazing staff and swimmers a well deserved opportunity to rest, recharge, and get ready for an exciting second half of the year.
We can't wait to celebrate with you all and finish the first half of our year on a high!

We're looking for sports minded, passionate, energetic, and reliable people to join our amazing team. School students (16+), Uni students, parents, grandparents, and industry professionals are all encouraged to apply.
We operate 7 days per week:
Mornings: 7.00am/7.30am-12.30pm Monday to Sunday
Afternoons: 2.00pm/3.30pm- 7.00pm Monday to Friday
Requirements:
✔ Swim Teacher Accreditation (or willingness to obtain): An accreditation course will soon be held at Sutherland Leisure Centre on Saturday June 20.
✔ CPR Certificate
✔ Working With Children Check

How cute are this team- little Kai and his teacher Bec 💙
Learning a super important water safety skill: a fall in, recovery back to the wall and climbing safely out again- all in the happiest way possible.
Skill building will always grow best alongside happiness and confidence in the water, especially when mums and dads also stay relaxed, join in, and have a ball too.
We’re so lucky to have our amazing, funny, and skilled teacher Bec guiding so many of our little swimmers on their journey.

There’s nothing better than seeing our Southern kids this relaxed and confident in the pool. A special shoutout to little Charlotte, just 2 years old, and calmly nailing the skills, and loving it!
We’re also excited to share some news: bookings will reopen for a very limited intake on Monday, 4 May, and this will be for weekday classes only, for all ages.
If you’d like to chat, please send through your expression of interest via email ([email protected]) early next Monday, and we’ll do our best to accommodate a small amount of additional families. Please keep in mind, availability in classes will still be limited.

We’re excited to announce that we are now accepting a limited number of new enrolments for pre school aged babies and children (4 months to 5 years old) in weekday morning classes.
While we would absolutely love to reopen for all ages, days, and levels, unfortunately our current schedule capacity means we can only offer a small number of spots for now.
As things often go at Southern, spots tend to fill quickly and we don’t expect bookings to stay open for long. Our best method of contact is by email due to the busy operations in the centre so please reach out to: [email protected].

Good luck to our little champions (and those who couldn't make this session) racing this week at IPSHA, Cronulla, Engadine and Sutherland Zone Carnivals. We are so proud of each and every one of you! A huge thank you to and her team at the Southern Sydney Performance Centre for hosting us for a fantastic practice and pump up session last week! Swim fast, have fun and give it your all.
