Ready to take a deeper dive into the world of Ballroom?

Our Advanced Ballroom class is designed for dancers who want to move beyond the steps. Together, we'll delve into the foundations of mechanics, partnering, musicality, and occasionally venture into some creative choreography.

This Saturday brings something a little different... Viennese Waltz! 🕊️

As Viennese Waltz is not part of our regular class rotation, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience one of Ballroom's most exhilarating and elegant dances.

If you are looking to deepen your understanding, refine your technique, and continue your dancing journey, we would love to have you join us.

There are plenty of challenges in life. We don’t believe we need to spend our lives comparing ourselves to others, seeking validation, or finding ways to feel bigger by standing above someone else.

For us, the competition floor is a vehicle. A place to perform, to challenge ourselves, to express, to learn, and to experience every moment fully.

Of course, it is nice to win. Achievements deserve to be celebrated. We are proud of what we have accomplished, and are grateful for every opportunity that has brought us to where we are today.

However, our achievements do not become greater because someone else lost.

When your sense of worth depends on constantly comparing yourself to others, proving that you are above them, or shaping a narrative so others will see you as the best, your happiness and fulfilment are no longer in your own hands. They are in the hands of other people.

Real confidence does not need comparison.
Real achievement does not need to put someone else down.
Real fulfilment does not stem from convincing other people of your status.

You do not have to stand above someone else to stand tall.

We dance for the experience.
For the growth.
For the expression.
For the moments that cannot be measured by results.
For love.

Stay true to yourself.
Walk your own path.

✨️Kaohsiung to Seoul to Osaka✨️

The competitions on this trip have served as a gentle reminder that presence is the pathway, not the destination 🧘‍♂️

We had the privilege of dancing two finals in Kaohsiung, we carried this momentum into our events in Seoul.

Here we represented Australia at the WDO Professional Ballroom Championship. This was our second year representing Australia at a World Championship. An opportunity we are grateful for.

Since these competitions we have made our way to Osaka. Here we continue to invest in our neverending evolution. We are excited for healthy servings of inspiration and motivation.

Our experiences abroad are a powerful platform for our creative ambitions. We are excited for what lies ahead, and the joy that unfolds ☀️☀️

✨️August Medal Day✨️

On Sunday the 9th of August, we hosted our third Medal Day at Areum Dance. Thank you to all who participated, performers and spectators.

Our Medal Days are a celebration of artistry, and personal growth, not a cut-throat assessment of dancing ability.

Held twice a year, these events give dancers of all ages and levels the chance to showcase their development in a supportive, encouraging atmosphere. Medal Days offer a systematic pathway for improvement, progressing through Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels to foster confidence and expression. Whatever your goal, our Medal Days provide a meaningful milestone to work toward, surrounded by community and guidance 🌼🌸

A huge thank you to Hannah McClellan for her handy microphone work, and Leeanne Bampton for her absolute expertise as our examiner.

It is such a treat to create this space for students to grow, work towards something meaningful, and release their dancing into the world.
