SMASH into 2022 with some Mixed Gender Derby Training

Come skate with SMASH this year, We train every Tuesday at Perry Park in Alexandria from 7-9pm.

Anyone can come and skate with us as we grow in anticipation of Games later this year.

Sydney City SMASH started as a men's team, and we've changed a lot over the years.

Now, in 2021 we'd like to be very clear - SMASH is a home for EVERYONE. We have no limits on membership or access to playing roller derby because of gender, sexual orientation, intersex status, ethnicity or cultural background. SMASH is a place where you can be you.

You want to skate? We want to meet you. Training is Monday nights at Dunc Gray Velodrome from 7:30pm. Message the page or email [email protected] for more info.

Roller derby jammer, Sarah, suffered two concussions in a week while playing the sport. She told The Feed that those concussions have greatly altered her life.

Guess who's back? SMASH IS BACK!

We're heading back to training and looking forward to seeing all our friends and making some new ones. After such a long break, we're going to take it nice and easy as we work towards our usual training intensity.

Sydney City SMASH takes the health and wellbeing of both our members and the community at large very seriously. That’s why, in light of the still evolving COVID-19 situation in our home state of New South Wales, we’ve taken the decision to not return to training or other roller derby activities at this time.

We look forward to hitting the track with you all once we know for certain it’s safer to do so, but until then take care of yourselves and your loved ones out there! ❤️🖤

With the dust settled on another Australian National Roller Derby Championships we’d like to send a heartfelt thanks to the organisers, officials, teams and spectators with whom we shared the weekend.
