A transient boat leaving Barnegat Light Inlet reportedly went over the submerged rocks on the north jetty, compromising the hull and leaving her heavily listing.

Coast Guard, TowBoatUS, Sea Tow and Barnegat Light Water Rescue responded to the situation.

A brutal reminder of just how quickly things can go wrong around an inlet. 🌊
