This week has been a mix of excitement, stress, pride, and that slightly-panicked feeling of “are we actually doing this?”
We’ve had a few setbacks - our hats aren’t going to make it in time for our shoot, it’s been hard trying to line up collabs when we don’t have much of a following yet, and creating content without any product in-hand is… tough, to say the least.
We’re also still waiting on our paddle samples to arrive - they need to get here before next week’s photoshoot or… let’s just say we’re in for a very creative workaround.
And to be honest, figuring out who does what between Tom and I has been a journey in itself. Turns out starting a business with your partner involves a lot of conversations that start with “wait, were you doing that or was I?”
But - and it’s a big but - I really am loving it. Even the chaos.
The website is coming together, we’ve had some incredible convos with local venues about possible partnerships, and despite the hurdles, there’s something really rewarding about building something from the ground up.
It’s scary and exciting and exhausting and fun. And I’m so grateful to be documenting the ride in real time.
