The synergy of fitness and physiotherapy will optimise your he There is never enough rehabilitation.

The synergy of fitness and physiotherapy will optimise your health journey, for long lasting high quality results, to transform your health, and life. Synergy Fitness and Physio is dedicated to transforming your physical health to improve your quality of life. Synergy is where fitness meets physiotherapy, and is the undeniable link that must exist between physiotherapy and fitness, for you to be p

ain free, fitter, stronger, healthier, and happier, for the long term. As we have moved through our own fitness journey, and helped others along their way, we have found a consistent trend with high intensity training for the general population. This inevitably causes injury, which can put someone out of action for months, years, or even a lifetime. Here at synergy, we are dedicated to maintaining both a high intensity-training schedule (doing all the things you wish to), whilst also maintaining good health, high energy, and a life that is thriving. Alternatively, most aches and pains within the general population are easily avoidable. We have found that if everyone could be a little stronger and more mobile, it would eliminate majority of the general aches and pains of a work environment and sedentary lifestyle. It isn’t a surprise that people are moving less with technological advancement, however humans are made to move. This and this alone is the cause most aches and pains. As a result, if you do have an injury, whether it be from inactivity or high intensity training, Synergy will ensure you are exercising optimally, with appropriate recovery, to make long lasting changes, for not only your aches and pains, but your general health and wellbeing. So what can we do for you? At synergy we offer a range of services to accommodate your problems, and reach your goals.

💪Cable Pullovers!

Another one of my favourite exercises for targeting the lats and building a wider, stronger back.

Remember 👇

✅ Keep your core braced
✅ Maintain a slight bend in your elbows
✅ Pull through your lats, not your arms
✅ Control the return and focus on the stretch

Remember: technique > weight. Focus on feeling the right muscles working and controlling every rep.
Train smart. Move well. Live strong. 🔵⚫

Problem on a scan? Specialist recommending surgery based on a scan? Pathologies on scans can often be misleading, and this shouldn't be the be all and end all for how you manage it. Sure, it can be one piece of the puzzle. But don't jump to conclusions or be overly concerned, just because you have an issue on a scan. Consult a physiotherapist to get the full picture!

Big shoutout to our Member of the Month Kiran! Kiran Veer This guy dropped a massive 10KG from FEB to AUG this year after dialing in his high protein diet , smashing 10k+ steps daily and committing to a consistent three 30-minute strength focused personal training sessions with Kosta.

From being injured with constant lower back and knee issues, working with our head Physiotherapist Jonny. Effective rehab, training smart and hard means results regardless of how bad you might think your injuries are.

Proud of this awesome transformation! Keep crushing it Kiran Veer !! 💪😁

🏋️‍♂️

The conventional deadlift is one of my favourite exercises for building strength, muscle and a strong posterior chain, however it’s not about lifting the heaviest weight possible every session.

Here are a few things you’ll notice in my setup:

🔹 Power grip — I use dominant over/left hand undergrip even though I’m not a powerlifter. It keeps things simple and helps me focus on the lift itself.

🔹 Barefoot — Less distance between me and the ground, giving me a stable base and helping me feel more connected through my feet.

🔹 Belt for core engagement — I’m using a belt here because I’m working towards 10 reps and I need to keep my core super tight and this is just a helpful tool to do so.

🔹 Technique > Weight — The goal is to maintain strict technique throughout the set. Going for 10 reps allows me to create fatigue, challenge the muscles and still keep my form under control.

Remember: you don't need to hit a PR every session to make progress. Sometimes the best training is controlled, technically sound work that you can progressively build on.

Deadlifting done well is a fantastic tool for developing the glutes, hamstrings, spinal erectors, grip and overall strength.

Lift smart. Lift consistently. Build for the long term. 💪

❌ MYTH: “Lifting weights will make women bulky.”

FALSE.

Strength training doesn’t suddenly make you “bulky.” Building significant muscle mass takes consistent training, progressive overload, adequate nutrition and time.

For most women, resistance training is one of the best ways to:

💪 Build strength & lean muscle
🔥 Support fat loss & body composition
🦴 Improve bone health
🧍‍♀️ Improve posture & physical confidence
❤️ Stay strong, capable and active as you age

Don’t be afraid of getting strong. Embrace it. 💙

Train smart. Progress gradually. Get stronger.

Flash back to what SYNERGY is all about, and this message still holds true today.

STRENGTH TRAINING + PHYSIOTHERAPY = BETTER TOGETHER. 💪🦴

🏋️ Strength training can:
• Build muscle & strength
• Improve joint stability
• Support bone health
• Reduce injury risk

🩺 Physiotherapy can:
• Help with injury rehabilitation
• Reduce pain & stiffness
• Improve mobility & movement
• Support a safe return to exercise

The best part?

You don't always have to choose between the two.

At Synergy, we've believed for years in combining exercise, rehabilitation and evidence-based health care to help people move better, get stronger and stay healthier.

Fitness trends come and go.
The fundamentals don't.

A little throwback to where we've been — and a reminder of what we've been doing for many years. 🔵⚫

Trusted experience. Evidence-based care. Stronger people.

🧠🔥

“I have a slow metabolism, so I can’t lose fat or build muscle.”

❌ MYTH.

Yes, genetics can influence your metabolism, body composition, appetite, muscle-building potential and how your body tends to store fat. You may even have characteristics associated with the traditional ectomorph, mesomorph or endomorph body types.

But here’s the important part 👇

That does NOT mean your metabolism determines your results.

⚖️ The laws of thermodynamics still apply. If you consistently create an appropriate calorie deficit, you can lose body fat. If you provide your body with enough nutrition, progressive resistance training and recovery, you can build muscle.

Whether your metabolism is naturally a little faster or slower may influence how quickly you progress and how you need to structure your diet, but it doesn't make progress impossible.

💪 Your genetics may influence the starting point — they don't decide the finish line.

Train effectively.
Eat appropriately.
Be consistent.
Give it time.

Stop blaming your metabolism and start working with what you've got.
