Who’s a chunky boy?!

Def some great improvements over the last model.

Thanks Maxord Precision R***e Systems for sending this new addition to my reloading gear (and lightening my wallet😆).

I have a few other upgrades on my reloading bench and will post an update as soon as I finalise the workflow layout and lock things down.

Stay tuned.

We had the privilege and the pleasure to have Martyn Buttery shoot with us in our squad. A great bloke and great to talk with about all things, both during and after the match.

It was his first ever PRS match and he did very well with a new format coming up with some good scores.

Martyn came all the way from the UK and shared a wealth of knowledge about ELEY Limited and their dedication to the production of world class 22LR am******on. As the major sponsor it was awesome to see the level of commitment and support for us Downunder!

So a gentleman and a scholar!

ELEY PRS22 Australian Chamionships

Well what a great weekend shooting the ELEY PRS22 Australian Championships at the Monarto Range!

Shawn Lawson and Simon Plush delivered an awesome course of fire with a nice variety of barricades.

It was a chilly start each day but it warmed up as the sun rose. Thankfully the wind wasn’t horrendous but was spicy enough to keep everyone guessing at times.

It was great having so many crew from Precision R***e NSW in one squad and at the match. It was also great to catch up with all our friends from the other clubs.

Despite a few hiccups over the weekend I managed to stay within spitting distance of the top shooters and came away with Top Senior, 5th Open and 9th place overall.

Even better my daughter Isabelle delivered her best performance so far. She was a contender for Top Lady but a few issues saw her fall short by 7 hits and into 2nd place. Nothing some time and more match experience can’t fix.

As a consolation she won the lucky door prize of a brand new MDT Sporting Goods ACC Premier Gen2 chassis! And I picked a Crush*t Timer from MDT off the prize table which will go nicely on my dasher. Thanks to Ryan Charlton for helping secure these goodies from MDT.

Thanks to all the volunteers, RO’s and squad mums (especially ours, my wife Marnie) who gave up their time to make the match run smoothly.

And thanks to the sponsors, without them these matches would be harder to deliver.

First run of the new dasher! Only put 50 through doing load development but it’s looking good. Onto seating depth next.

Some hard home truths for the NSW government!

A succinct and detailed explanation for non-shooters of the amount of scrutiny and compliance law abiding fi****ms owners must undergo, the far reaching unintended consequences of rushed legislation, and the significant economic, environmental and social impacts.

Even Olympic and Paralympic shooters will be hamstrung if this new legislation passes in current form!

It’s official!

I can’t say how humbled I am to get another opportunity to represent Australia once again on the world stage!

What makes it even more special and a proud moment for me is my daughter Isabelle also representing as a Junior shooter! We both have work to do in the lead up but the year ahead is going to be awesome!

Thanks to AUPRA - Australian Precision R***e Association for selecting us in the team.

Congratulations to our fellow team mates, looking forward to see you all at matches in the months ahead.
