Emma joined our community in February 2025 and has settled in beautifully — the kind of newcomer who seems to know where the good seats are. Every Wednesday, you’ll find her at Trivia, enjoying her weekly ritual with Champagne or a respectable Aussie sparkling close by for moral support. 🥂

Emma describes the Bowlo as a bit like coming home: one of those rare Sydney places that still feels genuinely “local”. It’s the sort of spot where you can walk in, see familiar faces, and feel part of the community — no velvet rope, secret handshake, or pretentious behaviour at the Bowlo.

Wednesday night Trivia has become a favourite part of Emma’s week and a reliable excuse to bring family and friends together. She loves that it gets everyone around the same table — even if the answers occasionally arrive with great confidence and absolutely no supporting evidence. 😂

When asked to name her favourite memory, Emma found it almost impossible to choose. Every Wednesday brings a new one. For her, the Bowlo isn’t about one big standout moment; it’s about happy nights spent laughing, catching up, and taking Trivia just seriously enough to pretend the trophy was never the point. 💙

FREE COMEDY NIGHT #16 — SEPTEMBER — ASHFIELD BOWLO 🎤

Well, if it isn’t Richard Pryor on fire! It’s FREE COMEDY on Thursday 24 September at Ashfield Bowlo.

We’ve got three of Australia’s finest dropping by for another huge night and as always, it’s completely FREE.

This month:

• Daniel Muggleton — one of Australian comedy’s sharpest young guns, taking a break from his national tour to hit the Bowlo stage

• Cameron Knight — comedian, actor, writer and one of the country’s finest and most experienced stand-ups

AND

• Andrew Barnett — Bowlo favourite and one of Sydney comedy’s great hands, steering the whole bloody thing as your MC

• And who knows what comics will be dropping in this month!
