🗣️ LET’S TALK ADHD 🗣️
Last week, at the age of 41 🤯, I was finally diagnosed with ADHD by a psychologist. I have suspected this for a couple of years now, and it’s a mixture of relief, frustration and needing a moment to fully process it, and its impacts. I’m currently in the process of selling a lung - maybe two - so I can get a full diagnosis and further advice from a psychiatrist 👀💰.
I share this for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, I hope it goes some way to explaining why sometimes I’m a little bit longer in some of my responses than what I should be 😬. There are many such administrative tasks that I sometimes find challenging in running this business. It’s especially frustrating for me because intellectually, they’re simple things to do. However, when the typical ADHD overwhelm comes into play, simple things sometimes become a lot more challenging than they should… It’s a work in progress, but I appreciate everyone’s patience with me 😊❤️.
I also share this to reassure some parents. Whilst I am definitely still learning and I’m far from an expert, I can at least say that I understand 😊. If you know or suspect your child has this, I would like to think I can be of some assistance in their journey, and treat them appropriately. Please don’t be shy to share this with me 😊👍🏿.
Everyone needs to stay fit and active, and have the appropriate self-management and social skills, and I accommodate as many kids as I can - regardless of whether they’re neurodivergent or not.
We’re not broken, our minds just work differently! ⚙️🧠

Thanks, Coach Ryan ❤️
