St Matthew's Uniting Church Netball Club

St Matthew's Uniting Church Netball Club A netball club located in Baulkham Hills for people looking for a social competition. Boys up from Year 2 at school up to Yr 7 are welcome to register also.

The St Matthew's Uniting Church Netball Club celebrated 43 years of running in 2020. We are one of the clubs that form Gooden Reserve Netball Association which is a smaller competition focused on fun fairness and inclusiveness and encourages a family friendly environment. The competition runs from March/April to August each year, games are played each week at Gooden Reserve in Baulkham Hills between 12noon and 4.30pm on Saturdays. Training is also held during weekdays (late afternoons) at the same location. Divisions (grades) are based on your child's year at school, we do not grade by skill level. Grades:
Fun Net- Children in Kindergarten and Year 1 - a fundamental and skills program prior to being able to join a team to play games when in Year 2 at school. Sub Juniors- Children in Years 2 and 3
Juniors- Girls in Years 4 and 5
Intermediate- Girls in Years 6 and 7
YPs- Girls in Years 8-12
Opens- Women who are Post-High School, 18years and older. Online Registration for each season usually opens in December and close early February. To enquire about registering to play please send email to club - [email protected]

🏐 Finals Teams Confirmed! 🏐

With our normal competition rounds now complete, the top four teams in each division have been confirmed.

Congratulations to all our finalists, and thank you to every team for an amazing season! 💜🤍
Finalists are reminded to email any genuine Semi Final or Grand Final timeslot requests to [email protected] by lunchtime tomorrow, Sunday 2 August.

As borrowing or filling in players is not permitted during finals, requests should be limited to circumstances that may genuinely affect a team’s ability to take the court.
All requests will be considered where possible, but umpire availability and competition requirements will take priority, and no request can be guaranteed.

We are aiming to publish the Semi Final draw on Monday.

⚠️ 12:20PM FRIENDLY GAMES CANCELLED ⚠️

Due to the courts currently being too wet, all 12:20pm friendly games have been cancelled.

The 1:40pm and 3:00pm games have NOT been cancelled at this stage.

A further assessment of the courts will be made, with a decision regarding the 1:40pm and 3:00pm games expected around 12:30pm.

Please keep an eye on Team App for the next update and do not assume that all games are cancelled.

🏐 July school holiday reminder!

Due to how the school holidays, Easter weekend and Anzac Day fell this year, games will still be played on Saturday 4 July and Saturday 18 July.

The only weekend off during the July school holidays is Saturday 11 July.

We can’t wait to see everyone on court! 💜

💗 GO PINK DAY 💗

On Saturday 27th June, GRNA will be going pink to help raise awareness and show support for those affected by breast cancer.

Players, families and supporters are encouraged to wear pink socks, a pink ribbon or a pink hair accessory to show their support.

Next weekend, pink hair accessories will also be available for a donation at the GRNA table, so make sure you stop by and grab one before Go Pink Day.

Together we can make a difference 💕

Looking forward to another fabulous round of netball this Saturday!

A few quick reminders for all teams:

🏐 Umpires – please make sure you arrive in plenty of time before your allocated game, with your whistle, umpiring shirt and red or green scrunchie ready to go.

💅 Players – please remember no jewellery is to be worn on court and nails must be short and smooth before taking the court. Please check this before your game starts to help avoid any delays.

🍭 Canteen hours have changed this week – hot food will be available until 3.00pm, and drinks and lollies will be available until after the last game.
