Sydney City Physical Culture Club Inc. We're a Physical Culture club for the Inner Western Sydney Area and are proud to be affiliated with Bjelke Petersen School of Physical Culture.

Sydney City Physie Club began in 2013 for the Inner Western Area of Sydney and are proud to be affiliated with Bjelke-Petersen School of Physical Culture. Physical Culture or Physie (fizzy) is a sport for girls and ladies from 3 years to over 63 years of age. It aims to build confidence, posture, strength, grace and flexibility through exercise. The syllabus is performed to contemporary music com

prising of marching, exercises aerobic warm-ups, classical ballet and modern jazz dance. A new syllabus is developed every year, specifically designed for each age group. All girls, whether new to physie or a physie veteran, start on equal footing. The choreography is designed to teach the relationship of music to movement, rhythm, co-ordination, balance and interpretation. Physie has many carry over benefits to students by improving memory sequencing and motor coordination. Physie is a synchronised, team based sport that’s social, fun and an excellent, low impact dance and aerobic activity. It teaches the students to have a positive relationship with their bodies. Students blossom with confidence and self-assurance and provides an opportunity to build bonds of friendship and a feeling of belonging.
