What can we say! What a day!

Thank you to each and every one of you who joined us today to celebrate the achievements of our amazing Juniors. While we had a few players who couldn’t be there with us, their achievements were certainly still celebrated.

To our kids, you should be extremely proud of yourselves.

Everything you accomplished, worked on, learnt and improved throughout the season has been incredible to watch. But most importantly, watching you play as teams, support your teammates, build friendships and simply enjoy your football each week has been so incredibly rewarding for us all.

To our Coaches, Managers and Marshalls, thank you for the countless hours you have given to our teams throughout the 2026 season. Week after week, you made sure our kids could take the field, and we are incredibly grateful for your commitment, patience, encouragement and dedication.

To the parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, family and friends who filled our sidelines each week, thank you for cheering on our teams, encouraging our players and being part of their season.

And to our incredible volunteers who stepped in whenever we needed an extra set of hands, thank you!

There were days this season when things were incredibly busy and simply too much for our Committee to manage alone. Time and time again, people stepped forward and asked how they could help.

You showed us exactly what HLFC is about.

We aren’t just a football club. We are a family. We are a community. We support one another. 💙🖤🤍

A very special thank you to the entire team at The Henry Sports Club for looking after us throughout the day, keeping everyone well fed and hydrated, and for providing us with the Courtyard for today’s Junior Presentation.

Your continued hospitality and support of Henry Lawson Football Club is greatly appreciated, and we thank you for helping us make today such a wonderful celebration for our Juniors and their families.

While today was the formal part of celebrating the end of our Junior season, we’re not finished just yet!

The FUN side of our end-of-season celebrations is coming up at our HLFC Family Day on Sunday 27th September at our home fields! We can’t wait to celebrate with you all again.

We also had the privilege of recognising some of our long-standing HLFC members with their 5 Year, 10 Year and 20 Year Service Awards.

To our Cadet Referees today we also celebrated those who have helped us out on the fields week after week throughout the season. It has been wonderful watching you learn, develop and grow in confidence with every game you referee. Stepping onto the field and making decisions isn’t always an easy job, but you continued to put your hands up, give it your best and develop your skills along the way. We are incredibly proud of each of you and hope to see you back with the whistle again next season!

Every trophy and award presented today represents so much more than a name on a piece of silverware. It represents commitment, improvement, teamwork, sportsmanship, friendships and memories created throughout another season at Henry Lawson Football Club.

Congratulations to every single one of our Juniors.

We are incredibly proud of you all and hope you enjoyed being celebrated today.

💙🖤🤍 U10 BLACK — GALA DAY 💙🖤🤍

Our U10 Black had a fantastic afternoon at Gala Day on Saturday, enjoying one last day of football together to finish off their 2026 season. ⚽️

With the warm weather, Trainer Brendan and his magic water spray were certainly popular, keeping the team cool at half-time and in between games! 💦😂

Plenty of football, plenty of laughs and plenty of smiles made for a great way to wrap up the season with teammates and families.

We were just missing one member of the team on the day to make the group complete, but they were certainly still part of the team in spirit. 💙

What a great way to finish the season, U10 Black! We hope you all enjoyed your final games and have made plenty of memories together throughout 2026.

For some of these kids, they’ll continue playing alongside each other next season, while for others their football journey will take them in a different direction, but the memories and friendships made as U12 White will always be part of their story.

The end of one chapter, but the beginning of another.

After a season filled with football, friendships, laughs, teamwork and plenty of memories, this group took to the field together one final time.

As our girls and boys head into their next football chapters, they’ll take with them the friendships and memories they’ve created as U12 Red.

Today is a reminder of just how important one simple question can be:

At Henry Lawson Football Club, we are more than just a football club, we’re a family and a community that looks out for one another. 💙🖤🤍

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and you never truly know what someone may be going through behind the scenes.

If you ever feel like things are becoming too much, or you simply need someone to talk to, please know that you don’t have to face it alone.

Our HLFC family is always here to listen, support you and, where needed, help connect you with external services that can provide further support.

And today, we encourage everyone to check in on the people around you, your teammates, coaches, friends, family members and fellow club members.

Ask the question. Take the time to listen. Check in again.

Sometimes a conversation can make more of a difference than we realise.

The countdown is on! This Sunday is all about celebrating our Juniors and their incredible 2026 season! ⚽️

We can’t wait to celebrate each and every one of you and everything you have achieved this year. Whether it was your first season with Henry Lawson or you’ve been wearing the blue, black and white for years, we are incredibly proud of you all.

A few reminders for the day:

⏰ Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your team’s scheduled presentation time.

🚗 Please be mindful that parking may be limited and you may need to park on the surrounding streets.

⚠️ As The Henry is a licensed venue, children cannot enter the Club or walk around the venue without an accompanying adult.

🍽️ While you’re at The Henry, why not grab some lunch, sit back, relax and enjoy the day with your HLFC family.
