Your thinking brain stops trusting your trained brain.

The trained brain runs best on auto-pilot.

People call it in flow.

When you overthink and try to guide the ball around the course you end up in paralysis by analysis.

This interrupts the flow and pretty much 🦆s your swing.

Instead, when the overthinking begins.

Take an inhale and exhale through pursed lips until your lungs are empty.

Repeat 3 times.

Then name 5 things you see and finally see the shot shape you want to hit, step up and swing.

You know how golf carts have a governor on them?

That little device that stops the cart from going full speed.

Doesn’t matter how hard you push the pedal — it won’t let you go any faster.

Your thoughts do the same thing to your golf game.

Overthinking. Second guessing. Analysing every move.

It’s a governor on your potential.

Here’s the thing though.

Your body already knows how to swing. You’ve proven that a thousand times.

But the moment your brain gets involved — tries to control every part of it — you block the very thing that makes you good.

Flow isn’t something you force.

It’s what happens when you get out of your own way.

And that’s exactly what I’m covering in my free online workshop this Thursday.
