Old emotional intelligence models no longer fit the modern workplace!

Not because emotional intelligence has lost its value.

Far from it.

The issue is the way it is often presented.

Too much of the language feels abstract, clinical, or built for training rooms, not for real people navigating pressure in real time.

People are dealing with pressure, pace, conflict, uncertainty, overload, AI disruption, and constant change.

They need something more streamlined.

Something practical.

Something they can use while things are happening, not just reflect on after the damage has been done.

That is why I created the Emotional Navigation Roadmap™.

A simpler, more practical way to understand and strengthen emotional and social intelligence.

Curious?

I will drop a link in the comments.

- Behavioural Control

- Intentional Action
- Self Advocacy
- Adaptive Capacity

Emotional Navigation Roadmap™️

My new EI model for the Age of AI.

Some workplace conflict drags on because nobody is sure what to fix. People get emotional, talk past each other, and the same issue keeps coming back.

A better way is to slow the conversation down and follow a simple path, one step at a time:
1. Agree on the problem.
2. Gather the facts.
3. Brainstorm options.
4. Choose one plan.
5.Work together on it.

Which step feels hardest for you when the pressure is high? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Conflict at work rarely starts with bad intent. It usually starts with two people protecting their own view, their own tone, their own story, and then wondering why it escalated.

Therefore, the most productive move is not to push harder, but to pause and get curious. Ask one clarifying question before you respond. That small shift lowers the temperature, protects the relationship, and helps the real issue surface.

So, what is one conversation you want to handle better before the year wraps up?
