Mums are incredibly good at putting themselves at the bottom of the list.
“I’ll deal with it later.”
“It’s probably nothing.”
“It’ll sort itself out.”
And sometimes it does.
But sometimes that ni**le in your wrist becomes pain every time you pick up your baby.
Every time you push the pram.
Every time you open a jar, carry the shopping or hold your morning coffee.
The thing about Mum Thumb is that it often creeps up gradually.
A little soreness becomes irritation.
Irritation becomes pain.
And before you know it, you’ve been working around it for months.
So here’s your gentle reminder.
If your wrist pain has been hanging around for more than a couple of weeks...
If you’re noticing clicking, catching, weakness or numbness...
If lifting your baby, gripping a bottle or pushing the pram is becoming uncomfortable...
Or if the pain is waking you at night...
It’s time to get some support.
Not because something is seriously wrong, but because your body is giving you information and it deserves to be listened to.
You spend so much time looking after everyone else.
You deserve the same care, attention and support that you so freely give to the people you love. ❤️
