Six things your 3 year old learns at Tiny Tigers that have nothing to do with martial arts.

How to line up. How to wait their turn. How to look an adult in the eye and answer them. How to follow an instruction the first time. How to keep going when something is hard. How to be part of a group without falling apart.

Parents bring their little one in for the kicks. They stay because their child walked into kindergarten ready.

That's what Tiny Tigers is actually for. The martial arts comes along for free.

Tiny Tigers learning to stand on a line. Little Dragons chasing the next belt. Kids grinding through the middle of the syllabus and coming back the next week anyway.

Nothing flashy in most of it. Just kids turning up on a Tuesday when they didn't feel like it. That's the bit that matters.

If you've been meaning to get your child into something that builds confidence, focus and character, this is your nudge.

The first class is free. Nothing to bring, no commitment, no pressure. They'll train alongside kids who started exactly where they are, nervous and brand new.

Ages 2.5 through adult:

Before we teach a child a single strike, we teach them how not to use one.

That order matters. Respect first. Self control second. The technique comes third, and only once the first two are holding.

It's the oldest idea in martial arts, and it's the reason the good schools have always looked less like fight gyms and more like classrooms. A belt was never meant to be proof you can win something. It's proof you did something hard, and stayed decent while you did it.

So when a parent asks whether this will make their child aggressive, the honest answer is that we've spent twelve years watching it do the opposite. Kids who learn what they're capable of are usually the calmest ones in the room. They've got nothing to prove.

That's what we're actually here for. Not fighters. Good people, with good values, for life. 🙏

Another masterclass in the books with Mr G 👊

Once a month, at the end of the month, Mr G runs a masterclass. It's a chance for our students to go deeper than a normal class allows.

The focus in the room was something to see. Students pushing past what they thought they could do, drilling detail most people never get taught, and walking out a little sharper than they walked in.

This is what training at KICKS is really about. Not just showing up, but levelling up.

For two months, Arnis didn't step onto the mat once.

He sat on the side with his dad, too nervous to join in, watching Tiny Tigers train without him. Week after week. 🥋

A lot of parents would have called it. Wrong fit, wrong time, try soccer instead. Nobody would have blamed them.

His dad kept bringing him anyway. Sat down beside him every session and just let him watch until he was ready.

Last year, Arnis was our overall Grand Champion.

We think about that a lot, because the patience that got him there wasn't ours. It was his dad's. We just made sure the door stayed open. 💙

If your child is the one hanging back, there's no rush here. Not from us, and not from you.

What an incredible night at KICKS! 🔥🥋

On Friday we had the absolute honour of hosting an amazing seminar with Grandmaster Jeff Speakman, welcoming him back to Australia for the first time since 2018!

The energy in the room was unbelievable. We had 50 students in the Kids Seminar and 30 students in the Adults Seminar, all learning, training, and being inspired by the founder of Kenpo 5.0!

It was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved and a fantastic way to welcome Mr Speakman back to Australia. Thank you to all the students who showed up with great attitude, focus, and spirit!

Events like this remind us how powerful our martial arts community is. 💪
Thank you Grandmaster Speakman for sharing your knowledge and inspiring the next generation of martial artists.
