Crossing the finish line of your very first Abbott World Marathon Major is no small feat and certainly an inspiring moment for everyone here at AUSISO! Congratulations and we hope you enjoy this amazing achievement!

This month, we’re proud to recognise Leon Casey as our Employee of the Month! 🏆

Congratulations, Leon! 👏

Leon has consistently delivered high quality programs, shown excellent communication and collaboration with our HQ team and truly embodied the values we strive for across AUSISO. His leadership and contribution across our Victorian Disability Sports Australia events have been greatly appreciated, along with his ongoing commitment to supporting our programs and participants.

Leon has also consistently exceeded our staff performance metrics to an exceptional standard, making this recognition incredibly well deserved.

This is exactly what AUSISO is about, staff who lead with commitment, take pride in what they do and make a genuine difference to the experiences of our participants and communities.

Meet Stella Campbell, Project Support Officer at AUSISO!

Stella first joined us last year as a Casual Sports Program Officer and since then she’s grown into a key part of our HQ team. From coordinating the small details to supporting the bigger picture, she’s someone the whole team relies on.

We are very lucky to have her as part of the AUSISO team and we’re excited for you all to get to know her!

Our AUSISO Directors were thrilled to catch up with two of our incredible mentors, David Thompson and William “Bill” Anderson.

David and Bill have been tremendous supporters of AUSISO and have played an important role in supporting and guiding our Directors throughout their small business journey. Their leadership, experience and extensive knowledge across the sporting industry continue to provide valuable insight as AUSISO grows.

Both are true icons of Australian sport, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity for our Directors to learn from and connect with leaders of their calibre.

It was particularly special to see photos of Bill during his time with the South Sydney Rabbitohs (coach #18), where he coached in 1980 and 1981, a fantastic piece of Australian sporting history and another reflection of the incredible career he has built.

David, Acting CEO of Hockey Australia, has been in our Directors’ corner since the early days of AUSISO, offering invaluable guidance, encouragement and perspective throughout the AUSISO journey.

A huge thank you to Sunny Brar, Neve Diamond and Jackson Tinker for the warm welcome and tour of the South Sydney Rabbitohs offices.

At AUSISO, we are proud to see our Directors continue to build meaningful relationships with some of Australia’s most respected sporting leaders and learn from the very best in the industry. 🏆

A few weeks on, we’re still celebrating this one! 🏃‍♂️💨

Our AUSISO Co-Founders and Directors, Nicholas Toscan and Herman Lotey, took on the iconic City2Surf 14km and both came away with personal bests!

🏅 Nicholas Toscan – 65:20 (4,319th overall)
🏅 Herman Lotey – 80:13 (19,274th overall)

Behind every PB are plenty of early mornings, training sessions and a whole lot of consistency. It’s something we see every day in the work our team puts into delivering sport programs and opportunities across the country.

A huge congratulations to Nicholas and Herman on an incredible effort and a great reminder to the whole AUSISO team to set a goal, put in the work and enjoy the journey along the way!

His hard work and dedication reflect the passion and professionalism we value here at AUSISO!

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Isobel Lambert 🌟

At AUSISO, we're fortunate to have people whose passion for sport extends far beyond the workplace. Isobel is a perfect example, balancing elite competition, coaching and her studies while inspiring the next generation of athletes!

Since 2018, Isobel has been competing at national level in baseball, often as the only girl on her team. She made history as the first Australian female player on a mixed team to represent her country internationally, doing so at the 2019 U12 WBSC World Cup in Taiwan and again at the 2023 Senior League World Series in South Carolina, USA. She's also been a NSW Open Women's Baseball representative since the age of 15 and loves giving back by coaching junior teams at club and national level.

As well as baseball, Isobel plays softball at an elite level. Since taking it up in 2021, she's represented her state at an U18 (serving as Vice Captain for two consecutive years) and U23 level, earning selection in the 2025 Australian U18 squad and this year joined the U23 Softball Australia Futures program.

Off the field, Isobel is studying Sport and Exercise Management at UTS, building on her passion for sport and preparing for a future career in the industry.

Isobel's dedication, leadership and versatility make her a fantastic example of what AUSISO stands for! Well done Isobel and keep up the great work!

From placement to Casual Sports Program Officer, that's the pathway we're proud to support at AUSISO! 🏆

The sports industry is competitive and getting your foot in the door isn't easy. That's why we're passionate about giving university students real, hands on opportunities to build the skills and experience needed to launch a career in the field and for the right candidates, that placement can turn into so much more.

We are delighted to announce our next round of employees of the month! A huge congratulations to Taisch and Matt for their amazing work last term!

Both have put in outstanding effort over term two, showing up with energy, running great sessions and consistently going the extra mile for the participants and communities we work with.

That's what we love to see at AUSISO. People who genuinely care, show up ready to give their best and leave a real impact on the young people in our programs.

AUSISO is pleased to announce a new partnership with Swimming NSW as an endorsed provider to deliver high quality swimming programs across New South Wales.

This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to supporting schools with structured, developmentally appropriate swimming experiences that build confidence, capability and long term engagement in sport.

We look forward to working closely with Swimming NSW to create meaningful opportunities for students and communities across the state!
