Train Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Get Into Shape and Have Fun! BJJ does not rely on striking or brute strength in its technique.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) also known as Gracie Jiu Jitsu is one of the fastest growing martial arts around the world. The success of BJJ is derived from its effectiveness as a form of self-defence and its accessibility to people of all ages, sizes and fitness levels. It is for this very reason that BJJ is the official hand-to-hand combat system used by the US Military and practiced by law enforcement agencies around the world. BJJ is all about the correct application of leverage, choke-holds and joint locks in overcoming a potentially stronger opponent. Adult Classes
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 6 - 7pm
Monday: 12:30 - 1:30pm

Kids Classes
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 5 - 5.40pm

Ten years ago Gracie Balmain opened with an empty room and a handful of white belts. Last week, we tied black belts on seven more of our own.

Most of these men took their very first jiu-jitsu class in this room. Others came to us as blue and purple belts and made Balmain home for the rest of the road. Either way - thousands of classes, injuries, comebacks, life happening around the edges - and they kept showing up.

Absolute legends off the mat, complete savages on it. Couldn’t be more proud to have these men represent Gracie Balmain.

Last week we celebrated our ten year anniversary with the biggest belt ceremony in Gracie Balmain history - 20 promotions across every belt level.

Every single one was hard earned and well deserved. Congratulations to everyone who levelled up.

🥋 Exciting News for our Young Warriors! 🌟 Gracie Balmain is thrilled to announce our upcoming Kids' Jiu Jitsu and Self-Defence Workshops!

Happening on the 17th & 24th April 2024, these sessions are perfect for kiddos aged 5-12 to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu basics, play fun games, and make new friends, all in a supportive environment. 🤗

-Friday’s early birds, catch the All Levels Gi at 6:30 AM
Saturday’s Gi class is now at 9 AM sharp

-Ladies, join us for the Women’s Open Mat at 10 AM on Saturdays

-(Note: Monday’s lunch class is taking a break)
