Why get your kids into golf?
Golf is a game that teaches kids skills for life while moulding them into quality human beings through the development of integrity, temperament, social skills and respect for the game and others.
At the Sydney Golf Academy we offer the ideal avenue for kids looking to learn this great game through a variety of classes for children of all capabilities from 3-15 years of age.
Our Term 2 classes run from the second week of May through to the final week of June with limited availabilities still remaining.

SGA COACH PROFILE!!! Everyone meet Axel Jung!

Axel has been an integral member of the family since completing his PGA of Australia traineeship at Moore Park in 2011. His big, cheesy grin and passion for coaching is infectious and subsequently ensures that his clients form a similar passion and love for the game. Originally from South Korea, Axel completed military service duty in 1994 while he was still working on his golf game. This military background has blessed him with a strong physical & mental character which has transferred over to his personal game and teaching style.

Axel is at the forefront with new technology and teaching methods; he is an expert at using Flightscope - a cutting-edge radar system that collects ball flight and club movement data to break-down your technique with amazing accuracy. He is also certified in Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 2 Biomechanics, which enables him to analyse your swing and assist you in finding your most efficient motor pattern to unlock your hidden powers! Alternatively, he is more than aware that everyone has a different learning style and he always endeavours to adapt his teaching methods to suit your needs.

We’re very grateful at the to have someone with the passion and vision for growing this great game like Bobby Walia from - a couple of years ago Bobby grew concerned with the lack of women taking up golf and decided to do something about it! Now he has ladies traveling from all over Sydney to be a part of his classes. He runs a variety of Beginner, Intermediate and On-Course lessons which are the perfect way to work on your game whilst making some new mates at the same time!

QUIET PLEASE! Next on the 1st Tee, the 2018 Moore Park Golf Club Champion; Jono Boediman 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Ripper of a yarn this. JB’s golfing story started in 2013 as a Junior Beginner with us at the - over the years he has worked his way up through the academy ranks and into a Junior Membership at MPG. Then in 2018 at just 14 years of age. Yes FOURTEEN!!! He trounced all of his older and more experienced combatants to take out the Club Championship. Having now freshly turned 15 and playing off a handicap of 0 😱 the sky is the limit if JB’s passion for improving his game remains. He is a living testament that starting the game young not only gives kids a skill for life, but also helps mould them into quality humans

SGA LESSON SPOTLIGHT - Everyone meet George! George has been a part of the SGA family for 18 months now. He spends half of the year overseas but when he’s on Aussie soil he’s working hard on his golf game with Scott Davis. In this time he’s lowered his handicap from 14 to 10 and is grinding harder than ever to reach the coveted single figure mark!
Scotty noticed that George’s swing was bottoming out way too early through impact due to overactive hands and arms on takeaway. A few drills focusing on keeping his arms and body moving naturally together, plus a better angle of attack into the ball at impact had George flushing them in no time!
Good luck to George as he heads over the ditch next week to improve on his Top 10 finish in last year’s NZ Open Pro-Am!
