They say your first ultramarathon changes you.
Mine did โ not because I was fully ready,
but because I made the decision:
Between business, life, and leadership duties, there was little time to train.
But in the final 12 days, I carved out space.
Trained smart. Ate with purpose. Slept with intention.
At kilometre 10, I crossed paths with another warrior.
We became a unit โ strangers turned comrades.
We shared rhythm, silence, laughter, pain.
When one faded, the other lifted. 15 hours.
81km of mountain wilderness.
From sunrise to full darkness.
Headlamps flickering. Muscles failing.
But the soul โ on fire.
Somewhere around nightfall,
something older, deeper, strongerโฆ awoke inside me.
It was about keeping the promise I made to myself.
And I did.
Medal in hand. Body wrecked. Soul blazing.
We roared a war cry together โ not because the pain stopped,
At ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐๐ฌ, we donโt just teach people how to float.
We help them learn to fight, rise, and believe.
We train swimmers โ children and adults โ
to keep moving forward when it gets hard.
To find rhythm in discomfort.
To say:
This is how we show up for our students.
Because this is how we show up in life.
