One of our much-loved and valuable members of our parkrun family has unfortunately lost a diamond earring at parkrun yesterday. 🥲

Spring has sprung and the 527th event of Menai parkrun completed before the heat of the day hit. With kids sports taking a rest this weekend, 335 locals and visitors from Orange, Adelaide, Tamworth and the Gold Coast took the opportunity of punching out one of the most sublime courses anyone anywhere is likely to experience.

Today we congratulated Brendon for completing his 100th parkrun. Congrats again Brendon.

Every week we thank our volunteers who do a wonderful job. Today was no exception, however a special callout to their efforts is appropriate, considering the huge number of participants. In particular Susan, our token distributor, Tracey our timekeeper and Beverly, Isla, Neva and Zoe our barcode scanners, at different times were run off their feet keeping up with the numbers.

Additionally, we thank Graeme, Billy, Chris, Joshua, Doug, Cody, Piper, Abdon, Bernadette, Luciana, Linwood and Rob for volunteering their time today for the benefit of many others.

Today's turnout is a sign of the numbers we are expecting in upcoming weeks, we need a constant flow of volunteers, and the earlier in the week volunteers announce themselves the better. Four barcode scanners were absolutely flat out today, that is the minimum we need with 300+ participants. If you've been thinking about volunteering, the upcoming school holiday period maybe the time to through your hat into the volunteering ring!

The weather forecast is great, so if the idea of standing in the outdoors on a warm spring morning, maybe with a coffee in hand, appeals to you, we'd love you to come and support the event we all love.

Welcome to Tutu day where wives try not to recognise their husbands for fear of embarrassment!!
With Winter weekend sport coming to a close there was a significant rise in numbers this beautiful Saturday morning. 267 people turned up today plus all the awesome volunteers to assist in running today’s event.
Without the Volunteers there is no Parkrun so truly thank you for giving up your time.
Many Milestones were achieved today so congratulations to you all. The big milestone for everyone is that you chose to get up and do a 5km course instead of sipping a coffee at home. You have all chosen a great start to your weekends.

Once again a huge congratulations to Heather for her C2S achievement. Was great to see you back doing Menai parkrun.

Thank you to everyone who showed up today and looking forward to seeing you all next Saturday too. I’ll try to dress normal but can’t promise anything 🤪🤪
