Our Next Adventure
After 18 unforgettable years of living and breathing our love for diving, the time has come for a new journey. Weβre closing Obsession Dive and hitting the road in a motorhome weβve just bought, ready to explore new horizons and create new memories along the way. Our children were only babies when we started this business, and now they are older and leaving the nest. Itβs also now our time to travel. ππ§³
We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support from our community over the years. To our loyal customers, thank you for your friendship, your spearfishing triumphs, your holiday stories, and for letting us be part of your lives as your families grew.
To all who participated in a freedive course or spearfishing course with us, we hope you gained the skills and knowledge to become better and safer divers. Each story you shared, every catch you celebrated, and every smile weβve seen has made this journey truly special.
A huge shout out to our reps for trusting us with your gear and for all the chats and advice along the way. And to our family, who helped so much in the early years, minding the kids on weekends so we could power through long Christmas prep hours, attend club meetings and market stalls, your support made all of this possible.
To my kids Keeleigh and Cooper, thank you for your patience, love, and support, and for understanding when we all had a long day. Thank you for helping in the store, delivering online orders, testing out gear, and even appearing in many of our social media posts. Youβve been such a big part of this journey, and we are so proud of you.
To all our staff over the years, we are eternally grateful for your hard work and the friendships weβve shared. To our casual staff (Thomas, Ollie, James, Jack, Sooze, Chris, Jake), thank you for filling in for me so I could attend kidsβ milestones, appointments, and even a few sneaky holidays. β€οΈ
To Luke, we watched you grow with the store over the years, starting as a kid working for us, and we are so proud of the amazing man you have become. People used to think you were my son, and I would have been so proud if you were. We wish you an amazing future. You have been such an important part of this journey, and we couldnβt have done it without you. Thank you. π
After running three businesses for years, itβs finally time for us to slow down, take a deep breath, and explore the world ourselves.
We canβt wait to share our adventures along the way, sunrises over unknown beaches, late night campfires, and maybe even a few new spearfishing stories.
