U13 Boys Season Recap 🖤🤍

What a season from our U13 boys!

This team gave us plenty to be proud of all season long. They played great footy, with strong carries, big defensive efforts, plenty of skill and some brilliant tries along the way. But more than anything, it was the way they played for each other that stood out. They continued to grow in confidence and combinations as the season went on, backing each other up, working hard and showing plenty of heart whenever things got tough.

Their efforts earned them a well-deserved place in the semi-finals, where they played their hearts out and took the game right down to the wire, narrowly going down in extra time.

It wasn’t the ending they were hoping for, but there is so much for this team to be proud of. The heart, determination and fight they showed all season and especially in that final game says everything about this group.

A huge thank you to Uncle Sherriff for always leading the boys and setting them up on the right foot, both at training and on game day, and to Aunty Stacey for making sure her team was organised, supported and ready to go all season long, special shout out to uncle Dingo, uncle Carlo, Djanala for helping on game day aswell. The club appreciates everything you put into these boys. ❤️

Hold your heads high, boys. Come back bigger, stronger and hungrier in 2027 there’s some unfinished business waiting. 🖤🤍

U12’s Season Recap 🖤🤍

What a season it was for our U12’s! Big hits, big runs and some freaky tries this team gave us plenty to watch every week.

This team always showed up, taking on whoever was in front of them and giving it everything each week.

This season also marks the end of an era for Makeedi, Matia, Tyra, Ella, Kathryn, Dorothy and Honey, as this is their final year playing in the mixed competition before moving into the girls-only comp. These girls have been absolute powerhouses in their age group since U5’s, and we’re sure there might be a few boys around the competition quietly happy to see them moving on 😂💪🏽. We’re so proud of the players they’ve become and can’t wait to watch them take on their next chapter.

A huge thank you to all the officials who supported this team throughout the season, particularly Aunty Loan, RAB’s biggest supporter Uncle Al Daly🤨😂, Aunty Tai and Uncle Pete. Thank you for the time, energy and support you gave to getting this team on the park each week.

Well done U12’s on a great season. We hope to see you all back in 2027! 🖤🤍

U11s Footy Season Recap from Team manager Vic

Where do we start? What a season for our U11s! It started a little slowly, but it didn’t take long for the excitement to build. With plenty of reserves, one thing was always clear these kids just loved being on the field! Taking turns coming off was sometimes the biggest challenge because they were having so much fun.

A special mention to Charlize — quiet off the field, but with the ball in her hands she was a force to be reckoned with! Her determination, confidence and willingness to give it her all and show the boys what she could do was fantastic to watch.

A big shout-out to Alessia and Allynga, along with our from our girls team who stepped up whenever we were short on numbers. Your willingness to play up, support the team and take on the challenge did not go unnoticed.

week by week we saw improvement in their skills, understanding of the game and, most importantly, their teamwork. They learnt to encourage each other, celebrate each other’s successes, pick each other up and have fun playing footy.

We’re incredibly proud of how far our U11s have come and the contribution every player made throughout the season.

A huge thank you to all the parents, carers, families and supporters who turned up, helped out and cheered the kids on each week. Your support makes all the difference.

Well done U11s! A season full of growth, teamwork, laughs and plenty of footy. The club would also like to acknowledge Team manager Victoria, Jermaine, Wayne and uncle Sheriff for all the support they brought this team, helping them get on the park and at training.

U10’s Season Wrap 🖤🤍

Our U10’s brought a great attitude to the field all season playing with plenty of speed and energy, but most importantly playing the game with respect, positivity and enjoyment.

This team continued to have fun, enjoy the game of rugby league, support their teammates and show respect to their opposition, while building their skills and growing together each week.

A huge thank you to Aunty Kiha and Uncle Chris, who once again stepped up to lead and guide this team. The time, care and energy you continue to give our kids is reflected in the respectful team culture they’ve developed both on and off the field.

Well done U10’s on another great year, we look forward to seeing you back in 2027! 🖤🤍

Vale Uncle Tony Mundine 🖤🤍

Redfern All Blacks send our deepest love and condolences to the Mundine family following the passing of Uncle Tony Mundine, a proud Aboriginal man, champion boxer, community leader and a much-loved son of Redfern and Baryulgil.

Uncle Tony’s contribution to our community reached far beyond the boxing ring. His gym in The Block at Redfern became a place where young people could find strength, discipline, guidance and a sense of belonging. Through boxing and his connection to community, Uncle Tony inspired generations and played an important role in shaping the young people around him.

Uncle Tony was also part of the Redfern All Blacks family, having played for our club and proudly representing the black and white. That connection continued through his son, Choc Mundine and grandson CJ, who also pulled on the RAB jersey, carrying forward the family’s proud sporting and community legacy.

Today, we remember Uncle Tony not only as a former champion boxer, but as a father, uncle, mentor, community man and proud identity in the Redfern community whose impact will continue through the generations.

We send our deepest love and strength to Kiah, Choc, Kelly, and the entire Mundine family, as well as all of Uncle Tony’s friends, loved ones and community who are mourning his passing.

May Uncle Tony rest peacefully.
Your legacy lives on through your family, your community and the generations you inspired.

2026 u14 girls Silver RUNNERS UP 🖤💗

Not the ending our U14 Girls wanted today, going down to Marrickville in a tough Grand Final, but nothing about today takes away from what this team has achieved.

Making a Grand Final and finishing Minor Premiers is hard. It takes commitment, effort and plenty of heart, and these girls gave us all of that this season.

For so many of them, rugby league was completely new, and with many of the girls playing up an Age. To watch their confidence grow, their skills develop and this group come together week after week has been something our whole club and community can be proud of.

Girls, hold your heads high. You earned your place in that Grand Final and you represented Redfern with pride. 🖤💗

Given the choice, we’d choose this team every day of the week.

Remember how today feels. Let it hurt for a little while, then let it become fuel.

After taking out the title in 2025, our women are back on the Grand Final stage and ready to have a crack at BACK-TO-BACK PREMIERSHIPS in 2026! 🏆
