🇦🇺 International Success for SOPAC! 🇦🇺

The SOPAC Community is incredibly proud to celebrate Heidi Shumack's bronze medal performance in the 100m Backstroke at the 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Vancouver, Canada.

To earn selection on the Australian Team is a remarkable achievement. To then step onto the podium at an international championship is a testament to Heidi's hard work, commitment and determination.

We are also thrilled to see Kira Long representing Australia throughout the championships and proudly wearing the green and gold on the international stage.

These achievements are a reflection not only of the athletes' dedication, but also the support of their coaches, teammates and families who have been part of the journey.

🐬 GO DOLPHINS! Pan Pacs kick off TODAY 🐬

Two of our own are racing on the international stage this week at the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships — and we want the whole SOPAC family cheering them on!

🏊‍♂️ Se-Bom Lee — fresh off representing Australia at the Commonwealth Games, our SOPAC Swim Club member is back in green and gold, racing the 200m Fly, 400m IM and 200m Back.

🏊‍♂️ Stu Swinburn — trains right here at SOPAC under our Performance Centre Head Coach Adam Kable, and lines up in the 100m Back and 200m Back.

🇦🇺 Congratulations, Se-Bom Lee

As the Commonwealth Games come to a close for Se-Bom Lee, we want to take a moment to acknowledge what has been a remarkable campaign representing Australia on the international stage.

Se-Bom competed across three events, demonstrating the commitment, professionalism and determination that have become hallmarks of his swimming journey.

He achieved these amazing results:
🏊‍♂️ 4th place in the 200m Backstroke Final
🏊‍♂️ 6th place in the 400m Individual Medley Final

Making one Commonwealth Games final is a significant accomplishment. Making two finals while competing against some of the world's best athletes is an outstanding achievement that reflects years of hard work and dedication.

On behalf of everyone at SOPAC Swim Club, congratulations on an exceptional meet. We are incredibly proud of the way you represented both Australia and our club.

Thank you for giving our swimmers, families and coaches so many moments to celebrate throughout the week. Congratulations also goes to coach Adam Kable.

🇦🇺 Good Luck Tonight, Se-Bom!

Tonight marks the final event of Se-Bom Lee's Commonwealth Games campaign, and the entire SOPAC community is behind him.
Se-Bom will compete in the 400m Individual Medley, an event that has become synonymous with his swimming journey and one in which he has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill, resilience and determination.

To see a SOPAC athlete representing Australia on the international stage is an incredible source of pride for our club, and Se-Bom's performances throughout the week have been an inspiration to swimmers of all ages.

🇦🇺 A Remarkable Commonwealth Games Performance

The SOPAC community is incredibly proud of Se-Bom Lee, who delivered a fantastic performance in this morning's 200m Backstroke Final, finishing 4th at the Commonwealth Games.

Competing against some of the world's best swimmers, Se-Bom showcased the commitment, determination and skill that have defined his journey to the Australian Team. To finish 4th on the Commonwealth Games stage is an outstanding achievement and one that our entire club celebrates.

Congratulations, Se-Bom. We are all extremely proud of what you have accomplished.

The competition continues tonight with the 200m Butterfly heats at 7.30pm, followed by the 400m Individual Medley tomorrow night.

The SOPAC community is incredibly proud to see Se-Bom Lee begin his Commonwealth Games campaign tonight as he represents Australia on the international stage.

After a remarkable Australian Swimming Trials performance, Se-Bom earned the opportunity to wear the green and gold and compete against the world's best athletes. It is a tremendous achievement and one that reflects years of hard work, determination and commitment.

An incredible milestone for SOPAC at the 2026 Australian Swimming Trials!

Congratulations to Se-Bom Lee on being selected for both the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the Pan Pacific Championships teams.

This is a remarkable achievement and a well-deserved recognition of the dedication, hard work, and outstanding performances shown throughout the season and at Trials.

A fantastic night for SOPAC at the 2026 Australian Swimming Trials!
Congratulations to Se-Bom Lee on an outstanding performance, taking 1st place in the Men’s 200m Backstroke. An exceptional result and a well-deserved result on the national stage.

Well done also to Kira Long for competing in the 100m Freestyle final last night — representing SOPAC at this level is a great achievement and something to be very proud of.

The racing continues tonight, with Se-Bom Lee returning to the pool for the Men’s 400m Individual Medley. We wish Se-Bom all the very best as he steps up again.

Another strong night last night for SOPAC at the 2026 Australian Swimming Trials!

Congratulations to Se-Bom Lee on an outstanding 2nd place finish in the Men’s 200m Butterfly. A fantastic result and a well-deserved podium performance at the national level.

A big well done as well to Ollie Moclair, who delivered a great swim to finish 4th in the Men’s 50m Freestyle final in a highly competitive race.

The competition continues tonight, with Heidi Shumack set to race in the Women’s 200m Backstroke. We wish Heidi all the very best as she steps up once again.
