Official Announcement: Rescheduling of the 2024 TJPA Sydney Poker Championships

To our valued players, partners, and the broader poker community,
After much deliberation, and with a heavy heart, we have decided to postpone the 2024 TJPA Sydney Poker Championships. Making this decision has been profoundly difficult for us and we wish to offer you a clear explanation of the challenging circumstances that have compelled us to take this step.

Entering the Australian market for the first time has presented unique challenges, particularly in building a brand new team from the ground up to execute our vision under the tight timelines required for such a high-calibre event. This has been a learning curve for us and underscores our commitment to not compromise on quality. This was our oversight and we are taking full responsibility by strengthening our team setup to ensure we can provide the exceptional experience deserved by the Australian poker community.

We fully recognise the disruption caused by this decision. Our dedicated Australian team feels the impact deeply and shares in the disappointment of this tough announcement. Many of you have made significant adjustments to your schedules and plans in anticipation of the event. We do not underestimate the impact of this news and are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused. To show our appreciation for your support and commitment, we will provide compensation to all employees, including dealers, who were scheduled to work during this series.

We are grateful for the supportive messages many of you have shared with us over the past weeks. It is your encouragement that sustains us through challenging times such as these. We are committed to returning with an event that lives up to the high standards we've set in the past and that reflects the resilience and spirit of our community.

The Top Joy Poker Tour team is determined to show the Australian poker community our prestigious brand by hosting a world-class TJPT event in the future.
