"Remember that cricket match? 🏏 Who knew a chance encounter would lead to this!

It was at that match that I was first introduced to the world of sales. And the rest, as they say, is history.

From those early days hustling in door to door sales to building global teams and now serving in the Army Reserves, I've learned that leadership comes in all shapes and sizes.

The military taught me the importance of discipline, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Back in the corporate world, I focus on building strong teams, embracing innovation, and always striving for excellence.

Now, I'm helping businesses revolutionize their sales processes, while always keeping the human element at the heart of everything we do.

It's been an incredible journey, full of twists and turns. I'm incredibly grateful for every experience, every challenge, and every person I've met along the way.

After spending the last few years serving as a Res Army Officer, I've been reflecting on the remarkable parallels between military operations and the business world. In the military, we rely heavily on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure mission success. These structured systems guide every action, from planning and ex*****on to evaluation and improvement.

During my time in direct sales, I had the privilege of leading a large sales organization. While I've been out of the limelight for a while, I've been applying the lessons learned in the military to the business world.

At Reach we're adapting these battle-tested principles to help businesses achieve greater efficiency and success. We're translating military concepts like mission planning into robust business strategies, and utilizing after-action reviews to optimize performance.

I believe that by incorporating these structured systems, businesses can achieve greater consistency, improve decision-making, and ultimately achieve their goals.

At midnight tonight a lot of Victorian’s will be heading into lockdown again. This will be throwing people back into an stressful place with work and life being put on hold again for 6 weeks. Businesses and those owners will be struggling to stay positive and upbeat and from my experience many will need help. Currently 1 in 5 people experience a mental illness each year and due to covid this will definitely be higher post pandemic. Many will stay silent due to the stigma and lack of understanding LIVIN IS CHANGING THIS. It’s a charity that resonates with me due to its tag line. "IT AIN'T WEAK TO SPEAK". Being brought up being told that men are supposed to be tough and strong meant it was always hard for me to open up when life threw me a few curve balls.
Isolation and loosing routines and daily life is a huge curve ball lots of people will be going through.

Today I spent a good 5 hours telling stories with Scott Bidmead working on the book. It’s amazing how much starts to poor out when you get started. I might be hitting up a few mates from the past for war stories to be included. Please DM me a favourite memory that we shared and it might just make it to print. (Censoring applies : ))
It’s fun to look back at your life. Just like this picture we get our time in the sun and today I certainly reflected on this amazing journey called ‘life’. We only get one that I am aware of so you might as well enjoy it!
Everyone dies but but not everyone lives.
Life’s way to short....so go out there and live it.... make it worth reading about! 👊🏻
