You can’t keep telling yourself you’re ā€œbad with foodā€ and then wonder why you keep acting like someone who is.
Your brain looks for evidence that supports the story you repeatedly tell yourself.

So instead of:
ā€œI have no disciplineā€
Try:
ā€œI’m becoming someone who follows throughā€
Then give yourself the evidence
One promise kept at a time
That’s how self trust changes 🧠

ā€œI don’t have the energy to work outā€

But sometimes you don’t find the energy to move.

You create it by moving

I’m not saying ignore genuine exhaustion or force a workout when your body needs rest.

But if you constantly wait until you feel motivated, you can easily get stuck in the cycle of doing less āž”ļøfeeling more sluggish āž”ļøwanting to do even less.

Just move :p

You don’t always need more motivation. Sometimes you just need to startšŸ«µšŸ»

This is such an underrated question:
ā€œWhat am I actually getting from this behaviour?ā€

Because even the things we say we hate can give us something in the short term.
Food might give you comfort
Scrolling might give you escape
Avoiding something might give you relief

So don’t just ask:
ā€œHow do I stop?ā€
Ask:
ā€œWhat need is this behaviour meeting?ā€
That’s where you can actually start changing the patternšŸŒ€

Sometimes the issue isn’t food

The food is just regulating the emotion you don’t want to feel

The snacking
The scrolling
The procrastination
The avoidance

It’s all nervous system relief

Because if I keep sabotaging myself
I never have to fully face
discipline
rejection
failure
responsibility
visibility
or change

A lot of people don’t have a motivation problem

They have an emotional avoidance problem

And it’s important to work through if you want to grow in my opinion and experience if you need help hit me up šŸ¤™šŸ»

I used to genuinely believe that more was better

More training. More cardio. More pushing. More discipline.

TBH I think a lot of women have been taught the same thing that feeling exhausted means you’re working hard enough, and that rest means you’re falling behind

But your body doesn’t just need a reason to adapt
It needs enough energy, recovery and nourishment to actually do it

& your hormones are part of that picture too.

Sometimes the biggest shift isn’t learning another thing to add.

It’s learning what you need to take away

Less pressure
Less punishment
Less ā€œI should be doing moreā€

More listening
More nourishment
More recovery

Because hormonal health is health!! sometimes respecting your body is the most disciplined thing you can došŸ¦‹šŸ©µ

The way you speak about yourself matters more than you probably realiseā—ļø

If you constantly tell yourself:
ā€œI’m lazy.ā€
ā€œI have no discipline.ā€
ā€œI’m terrible with food.ā€
ā€œI always give up.ā€

Eventually, those things can start to feel like who you are, rather than behaviours you’re capable of changingšŸŒ€
And your brain will naturally look for evidence to support that identityā£ļø
So instead of asking ā€œWhy am I like this?ā€ start asking:
ā€œWho do I want to be, and what would she do today?ā€

Then prove it to yourself through your actions
You don’t need to fake positive affirmations or pretend everything is perfect
You just need to stop reinforcing an identity you’re trying to outgrowā—ļø

The goal isn’t to have more willpower i believe its to stop making certain foods feel forbidden in the first place

Try swapping ā€œI can’t have itā€ for ā€œI can, I’m just choosing whether I want it right now.ā€

Less restriction → less obsession → more choice

A reminder that’s been hitting a little differently for me lately

Appreciate your bodyšŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļø

I’ve always been grateful that I get to move, train and feel strong in my body but being in pain has made me realise just how much freedom there is in being able to move without thinking about it.

Getting out of bed or going for a walk, Training, bending down , sitting comfortably, getting through your day without every movement hurting.

You don’t realise how much of your life is made easier by your body simply being able to do those things

& when you’re dealing with an injury, you suddenly realise how much you miss the things you normally don’t even think twice about.

Since my car accident in June, my back has been so up and down. I’ll have a good period and think I’m finally getting somewhere, then it flares up again.
& right now, it’s really fu***nggg painful 😄

But if anything, it’s made me even more grateful for the days where my body feels good and I can do the things I love

So if you can move without pain today, do it and stop complaining pls

Go for the walk šŸš¶ā€ā™€ļø
Get outside šŸŒž
Lift the weights šŸ’ŖšŸ»
Run šŸƒ
Stretch šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø
Whatever it is that makes you feel good in your bodyšŸ˜‡

Our body is doing SO much more for you than just looking a certain way , sometimes being able to move freely is the fu***ng privilegešŸ˜—šŸ˜—

Your hunger isn’t trying to sabotage you🫠

It’s your body’s way of communicating

If you’re constantly under fueling, it’s no surprise you’re thinking about food all day or struggling to stay on track āŒ

When your body is properly fueled, it’s so much easier to make choices that align with your goals

Work with your body, not against it
