Yesterday I celebrated my 45th birthday ๐
As I get older, Iโm often asked: โWhat training do you do?โ and โWhat do you eat?โ
The answer has changed a lot over the past 5โ10 years.
This year, knowing that opening our third Live Well studio would demand more of my time, I deliberately reduced my training load.
My average week:
๐ช 1 strength session
๐๏ธ 1 functional workout
โฝ Football training + a game during the season
๐ Now football is over, 1 interval run
Food? Mostly primal and whole foods, high protein, limited processed foods and some carbohydrates.
Nothing complicated.
At 45, Iโm less interested in doing MORE and more interested in doing the RIGHT things consistently.
My personal goal is simple:
Stay stronger, fitter and faster than my kids for as long as possible.
Eventually theyโll catch meโฆ but Iโm going to make them work for it! ๐
As we age, our training should evolve with our lives.
You donโt necessarily need to train more. You need to train with purpose.
What do you want your body to still be capable of 10, 20 or 30 years from now?
Train for that.
