Good afternoon to everybody.... I met with the council members again today and went over many things.... and as stated before I would keep everybody up to date with the direction of the facility and Club.
Unfortunately there are multiple defects and Compliance issues with the stand itself and due to this the council has decided it needs to be completely removed from the facility Within a week or two.... sadly that will make it almost impossible for the club to stick to its racing schedule, I have looked into alternatives and that has also not been met agreeable with the council initially.... however they are going to take it to higher members within Council before a final decision has been made as to whether we can use and alternate driver's stand.
Until such a time as a new driver stand has been designed, agreed upon and finances for it have been secured......I have been advised to announce that the facility is not likely to be usable again until early next year at this stage.
There are many variables from this point forward and although I know more.... I would prefer not to say too much in fear of it not coming to fruition, but I will continue to work hard putting the club and it's members at the forefront and try to get the club back up and running as fast as possible.

Again I would like to thank those who have reached out offering assistance & support it is greatly appreciated..... to all please take care be safe and I will let you know more when I have concrete information for the direction and future of the facility

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control SMCC will have to suspend future race meetings until further notice... we apologise for the inconvenience but ask that the members and it's patrons respect the councils wishes and refrain from using the driver's stand.
There are rumours and speculation circulating about the facility....BUT that is all they are .... I would like to thank Castle Hill RC OnRoad and for reaching out with support for us at this time it is greatly appreciated. We will update everybody as developments happens. Please be patient and know that everything that can be done is being done at this time...

Yesterday I received a phone call from the council in regards to our driver stand.... somebody politely called the council anonymously stating that our driver stand was unsafe, the council sent out people to assess it ,they knew exactly where to look for the problems that it has and they didn't hesitate to defect it .
I will be given an official report from the council on Monday , I will then be asked to meet with them to discuss how we proceed forward.
When I have further news I will let everybody know

Ok listen up Racers.
We are expecting a busy day tomorrow.

Drivers must be registered and entered before they can hit the track for practice.

We will (with the help of as many club members and committee)
have the track open at 0800 for practice

Racing will kick off at 0930 sharp.

TLDR:
Get there early and help set up please.
No practice until you have entered.
Pre-registration recommended
