Royal Scottish Country Dance Society Sydney The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS) Sydney is part of a worldwide organisation encouraging the enjoyment of Scottish country dance and music.

Scottish country dancing is social dancing, usually danced in groups of two, three or four couples. Dancers move through different sequences of formations to traditional Scottish reel, jig or strathspey music. The RSCDS Sydney and local Scottish country dance clubs host dance classes on most weeknights (February - December). The Sydney Branch coordinates a number of beginners classes, social event

For book 55, RSCDS is seeking new dances (not published anywhere else) and preferably from people who have not had their dances published by the society already. See the link for more information and requirements.

In 2027, the RSCDS Summer School in St Andrews will be marking its 100th Anniversary and we will be publishing a celebration book, which will be RSCDS Book 55.
