G’day,

I’m Kevin Hastings from Sydney Australia. I lived in Hobe Sound FL with my wife Lynn. I am back in Sydney now and I am a Personal Fitness Trainer. A little bit about me and my history of fitness: Although I am a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer today, my passion for health and fitness is rooted from my 12+ year professional career in the NRL (National Rugby League) with the Sydney Rooste

rs. It was a privilege & an honour to play a sport I loved and I was incredibly grateful every time I stepped foot on the field. My mission is to team up with you and help you to re-discover your potential to achieve and maintain your highest level of Fitness & Health. Sounds a bit ‘stuffy’ but it is that simple! I carry my passion for sport and fitness with me everyday and use it to motivate clients of all ages and body types. Cheers,
Kevin (Horrie) Hastings

Thank you everyone for all the well wishes, messages and phone calls. 💔💜 If ever there was a man who seemed an unlikely candidate for a massive Heart Attack, it would be Kevin Hastings. 💔💜

For this reason and a few others, we choose to share our story.

Kevin and I both had “Heart Checks” last year, for different but very valid reasons.

“You don’t know what you don’t know”. We questioned how Kevin could be cleared with the healthy heart of an early 40-year-old and less than 11 months later have a massive Heart Attack, so we looked into what was included in our Heart Checks.

Kevin – Blood test, Stress Test, Ultra Sound, EKG

Lynn - Blood test, Stress Test, Ultra Sound, EKG, CT Cardio Angiogram with dye

We’re not saying that would have made the difference however it did save a friend’s life about a year ago. He was taken in immediately when his CT Cardio Angiogram (MRI) with dye showed a blockage not evident through the other tests. He had lifesaving By-Pass Surgery. 💔

We encourage everyone to get a Heart Health Check especially if you have family history. Please don’t delay.

Australians, please take advantage of the new Medicare rebate for a Heart Health Check introduced April 1, 2019. This check is available for those aged over 45 and for Indigenous Australians aged over 30. Have a conversation with your Doctor about your eating and exercise habits and more importantly, Family History. Also discuss what tests are included along with benefits and any possible risks of each.

We’re feeling truly blessed and beyond grateful to have been given this second chance.

Be aware – Listen to your body - If something doesn’t feel right, get it checked - Most of all Be Well.

Cheers,
Kevin and Lynn Hastings 💔💜
