A couple of years ago, Rod’s life changed with a bowel cancer diagnosis.

In the middle of appointments, treatment, and everything that comes with hearing those words, he kept coming back in.

Climbing became more than a sport. It became routine. Friendship. A place to laugh, to feel normal, and to remember that he wasn’t facing it alone.

Rod’s story is a reminder that community isn’t built on the easy days, it’s built on showing up for each other when life gets hard.
