👆Incline treadmill work
When it comes to warm up 🔥 or cardio , treadmill is the first choice which comes up in everyone’s mind 🧠 . But its mostly the regular flat treadmill work done, most of them don’t really know the benefits 💯 of working in an Incline angle.
➡️Benefits 💯
✅Calories burned ➖
When you add ➕ incline to your walk, it significantly burns 🔥more calories compared to flat walks as you are working your way against the gravity 🪐and more muscles are involved to keep you body stable at that angle.
✅Cardio fitness➖
It will obviously improve your cardio ❤️ health just like any other cardio activities with some added benefits 💯
✅Fat loss➖
It will help your body to get into the fat burning 🔥zone by raising your heart❤️ rate to a certain level required and being able to maintain it, along with burning a lot of calories. Thus triggering fat loss.
✅Muscle building➖
Walking on an incline level, helps you involve more leg muscles activation 💪🏻 , thus working muscles like hamstrings, glutes , calves alot more than the regular work.
✅Reduce injury risks➖
Understand that to achieve the same level of heart rate ❤️ on a flat level, you will have to run for that, but in the case of incline, you will be able to reach the target heart rate area without running 🏃🏾, therefore making in more sustainable and injury free whereas in the case of flat, running will expose your joints and other muscles to alot of stress making it more likely to have an injury♨️. It will also not make you breathless 😷 as compared to while running.
➡️What you might be doing wrong ➖
Its one of the best exercise, only if you do it the right way.. there are many things to keep in check if you wana do it right but what I feel the most important out of them are
✅Holding the rails➖
When you hold the side rails or forward rails, you tend to take support of it by distributing your body weight🙆🏻 on to the machine which deactivates some of the stabilizer muscles working for ex core & arms💪🏻, thus making it less effective.
✅Hunching forward➖
When you hunch forward🧎🏻, it creates a poor posture, making the work harder for you. It closes your airways 💨making it difficult for you to breathe efficiently.
✅Shrinking your stride➖
People usually tend to hold on to the forward rails and lean backwards which makes your stride shorter⚡️. This makes the work easier but less effective for you.
